Please mention where the white line is and if this is the retrace line all across the screen horizontally then it is failure of the grid filter which is a high voltage capacitor in the section of the line output normally about 10-25 MFD/250V. Also the failure of the diode or the fusible resistor opening out will result with the same symptom.

LCD panels are very expensive when bought as a part.. often much more then the original TV.. especially when its a few years old. You can have them repaired using a TV Repair guy but often it costs as much as a brand new LCD. My daughter broke my $1,600 LCD. It would have cost $1,200 to fix.. so I just bought a new one.After that I picked up a TV screen protector called TV Armor http://www.tv-armor.com Its designed to protect the TV from damage. Sounds like you are having problem with main board and or the connection cord. Call your manufacturer and describe your problem and see if they are aware of this problem. Have seen plenty of TVs w/red pixelation and have replaced main board and av connector to fix the problem. hope this helps, j
