There could be a few potential reasons why you are not getting any sound from your subs even though the green light on your Power Acoustic amp is on. Here are a few things you can check:
Check your wiring: Make sure that all of your wiring connections are secure and that there are no loose or frayed wires. Check that you have connected the amp to the correct terminals on the subs and that the speaker wires are properly connected to the amp.
Check your settings: Check the gain and crossover settings on the amp to make sure they are properly set. Ensure that the crossover is set to the correct frequency for your subs and that the gain is not turned down too low.
Check your power source: Check your battery and alternator to make sure they are providing enough power to the amp. If they are not, you may need to upgrade your electrical system or add a capacitor to your system.
Check for a blown fuse: Check the fuse on the amp to make sure it has not blown. If it has, replace it with a fuse of the same amperage.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, you may need to take your amp to a professional for repair or replacement.
the change from red to green is simply the auto sense of the input signal happening . have you ck the simple things first , like the volume control (im sure YOu didn't touch it , but maybe someone else did) , did the input jack sustain some internal dammge that might not be seen from the outside ? how did you ck the speaker ? did you sub it out with another known working one (doesn't have to be same size to try it) ???

Red Light Constant On - Means the Amp Is Not Turning On - Signal Problem or Most Likely Burnt / Non Working Components - There Is A Guy On Ebay Who Repairs these amps.
make sure you have good connection to all your wires something coulda came loose, but the popping sound could be that two wires were touching and could result in blowing a fuse
This might very well be a fuse - check by setting the sub woofer to "On" to see if it powers up. If it does, there may be a problem with the sub woofer audio cable(s) or connection(s).
Don't forget to check for a tripped circuit breaker or blown fuse on the stereo's speaker output. If your sub is connected to a low level output - this shouldn't be a possible cause - as circuit breakers & fuses are usually on amplified (high level) or speaker outputs.
Another possibility is that the settings of the stereo has been changed from a *.1 system to plain stereo 2.0 or some other setting that disables the LFE (low frequency effects) or sub woofer audio output.
well if your getting sound out of your surround speakers then the sub is busted, if your getting no sound at all then your speaker input's are either bad or out... i would test the speaker inputs...
Willing to bet you've blown the amp, or fused the coil. I've had it happen twice, apparently when running off a power source that apparently couldn't handle the load. Hope it's under warranty - if so Loud Technologies (deals with all Mackies warranty stuff) should be able to replace the unit. Otherwise, you'll need to take it in to a service department and have it checked out.
Good luck, you'll have to arm wrestle with them to get them to replace it.
