I have set a password on my vostro notebook but i can not remember it but i need to go in to the bios what do i do. I did not get a solution for my password problem on my vostro 1500 notebook.

Please contact dell support. However by default there is no password set. If you have set it and enabled it and don't remember it, then contact the dell support to reset it.

If you want to reset the BIOS password then take it off and put it again.

Your laptop has a Phoenix BIOS. Therefore, there are only 4 possible backdoor passwords: Dell, PHOENIX, phoenix, BIOS and CMOS. They are case-sensitive! If none of the above work, you need to reset your BIOS and then try again.

I would contact DELL technical support. They may be able to provide a way to clear it without opening the notebook and clearing the password via a switch or jumper.

REMOVE THE BATTERY ON THE MOTHERBOARD AND REINSERT AGAIN TO RESET PASSWORD OF BIOS...
