Loaded Software - Excel crashes after displaying print setup box.

HP Officejet J5780 All-in-One Printer
When I loaded my Printer Hp software,
and open an excel spreadsheet
then save,
the next time I open the document a printer setup screen appears and then the spreadsheet crashes out.

Any documents saved even if I have not made any changes, the files size increase as if there is an attachement or patch, increase about 10 kb.

Only resolved if I delete HP software.

SOURCE: Crooked Excel Spreadsheet

I also had this problem, through trial and error I found that if you go into File, Page setup in excel then the Page tab, make sure the print quality is set to 600 dpi. Once I did that it printed correctly.

I loaded the driver software and can print a test page but from a word document nothing will print.

Either remember in Word to select this printer, or in Windows, make sure this printer is the DEFAULT printer.
