We have a AV-32050 JVC television and Comcast cable in SF Bay area. After a short power outage the programs we record from TNT (Channel 37) are being recorded in Spanish even though the original program is being televised in English. Commercials during same program are recorded in English. Also,
After watching my DVR recorded program last night. I deleted the show and went back to Channel 37, which had a basketball game on in English when I left the program, it came back on in Spanish. So I changed to channel 38 and went back to channel 37 and it changed itself back to English.
Make sure your TV hasn't been set for SAP (you'll find it in the audio settings menu). Second audio programming is often used to carry alternate languages, and if it's turned on you won't know it until you watch a program where it's being used. There may be a single button labeled SAP on the remote. If so, it's easy to change the TV setting without realizing it.

when I try to record a tv program I get sound but know picture I am sure I have the connection rite it was working and then it stopped working the only other thing that I did was I added a yamaha surround sound it is working like it should please help it driving me nuts thanks john
