My fridge started making funny noises about a week ago. It is intermittent. No change when opening the fridge. It still seems cold. The sound is low-pitched and getting a little louder. It sounds like growling, with a little static sound superimposed. Water filter was changed two months ago. I turned off the icemaker without improvement. Getting a repair person is hard since my work schedule is crazy this week. Any suggestions? Thanks! (I am not sure if the model number above is right, I have a Kitchenaid superba side by side fridge)
SOURCE: Water Filter Kitchenaid Superba...Where is it??
look for a round peice on the kickpanel at the bottom of the unit it twists and slides out
SOURCE: KitchenAid Superba ice maker not dispensing ice
this is not a solution, but an explanation- our repair man said that there is a line (tube) containing electric wires that passes from the frig to the door at the bottom of the door, near the hinge. for what ever reason, the line has broken, thus keeping the electric from getting to the motor that dispense ice and water- solution= $700 for a new door; we'll do without
SOURCE: kitchenaid side by side too cold. Freezes everything.
the damper motor on the refrigerator portion is not working properly
SOURCE: Kitchenaid Icemaker leaking in big drips on front of freezer bins
Either the inlet valve is stuck or the icemaker solenoid is shored.
Most likely the second one.

SOURCE: how do you take out and change the water filter on
At the bottom of refrig , on the toe plate , press the button on the left kinda hard , and the filter should pop out .
