The IRONY of my Quiet Guard!! SO LOUD!!!!

I moved into my hom 6 months ago and it had a Kenmore Ultra wash Quiet guard 3 in it.

The irony is it is sooo LOUD!! Almost like a grind noise during the wash cycle, and nothing is cleaning properly. I'm not sure if there is a filter I can clean or something...?

Anybody else ever have this problem??

Yes the wash arm can be removed to get to the sump area. Take the model number for your dishwasher and enter it into a site like partselect.com. There you can get a blown up diagram of the components that need to be removed to get to the cause of the grind noise. Usually a seed or some other hard object has found its way down there.

Have a kenmore ultra wash quiet Guard 3 was working good now have no power at all to dishwasher un plugged it and plugged it back in even tried the Breaker still no power what so ever what's wrong

There are a couple of possibilities. To test first unplug the unit for safety. then you must disassemble the door. Inside the door you will find the computer and attached to the computer you will find a thermal fuse. Testing that fuse would be my first check and if it is good checking the computer and door switches would be next. This would be best done by an authorized repair company. https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=kenmore+dishwasher+replacing+the+thermal+fuse&view=detail&mid=FD3B9503B85F5329C756FD3B9503B85F5329C756&FORM=VIRE

My kenmore quiet guard My partially fills and therefore does not clean. any suggestions

Possibly low water pressure; possibly a clogged inlet screen on the inlet valve; possibly a bad inlet valve (replace it).

Door won't lock on kenmore ultra wash quiet guard 3

I would say it's worth getting a Professional to repair the door. It saves a lot of time and effort in the long run...and money! We had the same problem and no way could we have fixed it ourselves.

Why are there no lights on my Kenmore Ultra Wash Quiet Guard 3 dishwasher?

So I would guess you can't get it to work at all? It could be the circuit which is inside the door....I would never suggest anyone fix these things themselves. It's always fairly expensive but worth it for peace of mind knowing a job professional done.

I see the pressure tower for a Kenmore Ultra Wash Quiet Guard dishwasher laying in the bottom of the dishwasher. I've just rented the house and haven't used the dishwasher yet. Does this pie

No, the designers put it in there for a reason; it won't work as well without it, as it would with it in. Probably the mounting tabs are broken or sprung. A new tower isn't very expensive. You can probably get one from SearsPartsDirect.com, RepairClinic.com, EasyApplianceParts.com, or AppliancePartsPros.com.

Could you please help diagnose problem...dishwasher consistently stops washing in the middle of wash/sensing cycle. 2005 Kenmore Ultra Wash Quiet Guard 3

most likely the water is not hot enough,,it trying to heat the water,,when it starts to sense open the door and just test the water,,careful may be hot ,,but i doubt it...another easy way to tell is what is your hot water heater set on,,if you have a lot of soap residue is a good sign..

Loud Buzzing Sound from Dishwasher

have you ever seen green led "Clean" light flashing? before or about the same time the buzzing sound started? and if so that would indicate that the control senses a fault in the temperature rise during the heating cycle and that the electronic control could be reset by initiating a service diagnostic cycle.(which is what you were trying to do) pls reread your manual there are times during that sequence that some buttons have to be pushed at the same time and within a certain amount of time..possible that your machine also has a bad timer which would give you a buzzing noise..if thats the case I would recommend replacing the cpu or control board..or the machin all together..The Kenmore Ultra Wash Quiet Guard name is sears but whirpool has the contract to produce all "kenmore products.hope that helps.

Where is the filter on a Kenmore Quiet Guard 2 dishwasher?

I have a Quiet Guard 4. Same problem so will describe my solution.
1. Remove bottom basket. Remove top basket.
2. Remove bottom washing arm. Unscrew (Gently but firmly) the centre post. Lift arm assembly up and out.
3. Remove overhead conduit. One screw at back, one at top (Philips #2 bit). Rotate whole assembly 45 deg right (Clockwise) and lift off of centre post.
4. Remove centre post (Pull straight up). Remove 4 screws (Star T-20 bit). Lift whole assembly out. Pop off screen and clean.
5. Remove cap over cutter/chopper. There is a single screw at front left (under assembly removed in 4). Remove screw (Star T-15 bit) and cap (Needs some wiggling to free it up). Remove cutter and filter. It is on a spring loaded pin. Pull the cutter blade foreward and then the filter disc straight up. Clean thoroughly as it may be the cause of your problems.
Reassimble. Good luck!
