I believe that its because you are in VFO mode. Click the v/m button, It should switch to your pre programmed memory stations and the save will stop flashing.

Blomberg FNT 9671 freezer warning symbol

Minus 20' Celsius is too cold. Change it to -18'C. Also check that the door gasket is in good condition and sealing well.

Here is the manual if you need it. Troubleshooting is at the end is not particularly good. Page 9 suggests that the Warning icon is the triangle with exclamation mark (!), is that the one that is flashing? Other icons flashing is indicating Fast Freeze Mode.

Make sure the condenser coils at the back are clear.

After Flash Update (v0227) will not xmit proerly

I would flash it back to the older version. Double check you have the correct firmware. This almost sounds like the incorrect version for your radio.

Error 5 with canon eos rebel 6.3 mp

there is a pin in the hot shoe that detects if an external flash is connected. check and make sure it isn't stuck down.

check to make sure the flash comes all the way up. sometimes spillage can cause the flash to not go up all the way or not to come up at all. you would have to disassemble the flash unit and clean the pivots and lubricate them with grease

If the flash comes all the way up but the camera is still 'clicking' - the lock is still moving back and forth to free the flash, then the problem is either in the flash-up switch, located on the flex on the bottom side of the top cover, is not operating properly. you would need to remove the top cover (first removing all the other covers) and repair the switch. if that switch is OK, then there may be a circuit problem. don't forget to discharge the flash capacitor - 300 volts - ouch!!!

if the flash comes up but the flash symbol keeps blinking and the flash never charges, or the symbol comes on for full flash, but when you fire it the flash doesn't fire and the symbol starts blinking again, you are probably looking at a dead flash board

How do i get the flashed turned on

First, check to make sure you're not in the macro mode. There's a slide switch on the end of the camera, near the SD card slot. Slide the switch away from the flower toward the mountain to take it out of macro mode. The flash won't fire in macro mode.

Then, if the flash still doesn't fire, take a look at the flash mode. Press the up-arrow button to bring up the flash menu. If it's currently set in the lightning-bolt-in-a-circle-with-a-slash-through-it symbol, you've got the flash turned off. Set it to the lightning-bolt-and-"A" for automatic flash or the lightning-bolt for forced flash.

If the flash still doesn't fire, then it's broken.

How do I turn on the flash? I tried to buy a really simple camera and there's just too much 'stuff' on it. everything seems to be ok, just can't figure out how to make the flash work. ...

Easy. When the camera is in normal shooting mode, press the up button (marked with the symbol of a lightning bolt) until the symbol of a crossed out lightning bolt near the top left of the screen turns to an uncrossed lightning bolt symbol. that's it.
extra tips-
  • if you keep pressing the up button until the lightning bolt symbol has a letter A next to it, the camera will fire the flash only when it thinks it is necessary. this will keep your flash from firing in bright light and therefore save battery charge.
  • remember when you flipped through your math textbook in the first grade and it had "too much stuff on it"? you think its too much because you aren't used to it. don't be afraid to mess with the settings in order to learn how to use your camera best; you can never permanently damage a camera in changing its settings. the worst that could ever happen is losing all the photos in memory. if anything else goes wrong, you can always return the settings to what they were when you bought the cam in a few button presses (refer to the manual).
good luck and happy shooting!

When I am trying to take a picture and press the button to so, I see an "err" and a battery (the batteries are new) message that will not allow me to do so. I have tried taking the battery out...

On these cameras, if you're using ANY of the auto modes (P, A, S on the dial), the lense must be set to the lowest aperture setting (the highest number). Check to make sure this is the case. If it isn't, that's most likely your issue.

If you're using a non-CPU lense, this camera can only be used on M(anual) mode on your dial. If you haven't changed lenses this isn't likely an issue. If however you're using a new (to you) lense, this is a possibility.

According to the manual, the only other possibility is that your attached flash isn't set to the proper setting when using "P" mode. In this mode, the attached flash MUST be a Nikon dedicated flash unit set to TTL mode, otherwise fEE flashes with a little lightning bolt symbol. If you're not using a flash specifically designed for this model, remove it and try again. If you are, cycle the mode button on the flash until it reads "TTL" on the flash's LCD panel.

The manual makes no mention of fEE (error) and the battery indicator blinking, so these are the only things I can suggest with the information given.

My Panasonic SC-HT995W keeps on flashing W and the rear speakers wont work. Ive tried turning off all other wireless devices but it still persists

I had exactly the same problem. My unit worked fine until a loose power cable resulted in the receiver being turned on and off a couple of times in quick succession and then after this the a/c in light on the rear speaker was lit but the wireless link light would not come on (and the 'W' on the main unit flashed constantly). The solution for me was basically a reboot. This is what I did;
- unplug the wireless receiver
- unplug the main unit
- remove the digital transceiver unit from its slot in the back of the main unit
- plug the main unit back in and turn it on - the 'W' won't flash as the transceiver has been removed (not sure if you if it's necessary but I made sure it was producing sound to the front speakers)
- unplug the main unit again
- reinsert the digital transceiver
- plug the main unit back in, turn it on and set it to produce output/sound (the 'W' will be flashing)
- then plug the wireless receiver back in again
...presto the link is made, the 'W' stops flashing and the rear speakers work again.

Hope this elaborate reboot works as well for you as it did for me.
