Paper Light Blinking

I Have This HL5250DN Printer For 3 Years & It Recently Started Making Probs., The Paper Light Keeps On Blinking (Orange) Only If I Put Paper In Tray 2 The Light Goes Green & It Prints Fine, But If I Select To Print From Tray 1 Not Auto Select, Then The Light Starts Blinking Again Until I Shut Off & Power Back On Again, I Called Brother & They Couldn't Solve Told Me To Call A Service Guy Since I'm Off The Warranty Already, Ive Tried Everything That's Mentioned On This Site But To No Avail

Hi, The Tray Moves Regulary In And Out, If I Change The Two Trays The Same Thing Happens, Meaning It Will Take Paper From The Bottom Tray So I Guess The Tray Is Perfectly Fine. If Its The Sensor, Is There A Way I Can Fix It Or Do I Need To Call A Dealer?
Thank You Very Much For Responding

Paper light blinking green, status light on continuously. No jams, tray is about 1/2 full of paper.

Sounds like the sensor for tray 1 went bad and does not show properly. Now, how to test the sensor? My guess is that it is either a light or controled by weight. Does the tray move? Weight. Stationary?
Light sensor. If a light sensor, it may be out of alignment. It has to
line up so that the light shines on the center of the sensor. look to see ,phsically , if it does. Weight. Micro switch that will move when tray goes up and down. Pretty Generic, I know, but I have never worked on your model. Hope this has at least been helpful.

Make sure the rear part of your paper tray is not pressed too tightly against rear of paper. it will prevent the paper from raising up fully to the feed roller. you can also try cleaning the feed roller if that doesn't do it.

My hp laserjet 1300 printer shows blinking the orange light instead of the green one and I couldn't find out what is the reason

1. Go light/button blinks twice with solid green and orange lights
2. Green light starts blinking with go light twice and then both go off
3. orange light goes off.
4. green light followed by orange light followed by go light cycle twice and a third time by the green light
5.followed by the orange light continuously blinking.

I have already tried the following trouble-shooting:

1. Put in a new cartridge
2. Made sure there is paper properly seated in the tray
3. Made sure all doors closed (I even took off left side to verify no memory cards
4. Verified all doors closed
5. Done a cold reboot by holding the Go button while turning the unit on.
6. Repeated steps 1-5 multiple times.Hope It's resolve all Your Printer Problem,

Hello there wondering if you can help me My power light on my Canon ip2000 keeps flashing green/orange and the print queue stops and nothing is happening. I've powered the printer on/off Also have...

Usually means theres a paper jam or your out of paper or some problem is occurring. While that blinking orange is blinking press and hold it for about 5 seconds the printer should stop blinking orange and continue with the print. Also open up your printer to see if there are any documents that are in the print queue. Probably can delete those. Thats my guess as to whats wrong with the printer. Used to have one of those. Nice little printer remember 12 blacks for 12 bucks.
