Printer is showing that the used toner is full, how can i empty it out?
WAIT!!! Don't let Ricoh Steal your money...
You're going to get a little bit dirt with the trick, but there is no need to buy a empty waste toner bottel
Empty the waste toner bottle inside a plastic bag, the dust is kind of azard!!!, when the bottle is empty, clean it from the outside.
Place the bottle in the printer, (This is just for reference only), in the right side of the bottle you're going to see a plastic tag all dirty (You see it?) OK!!, remove the bottle from the printer, and then very carfully remove that plastic tag from the bottle taking care of not ripping it off, now clean the plastic tag, and put it in place again, and now your printer is ready to work!!!!!
Where's the trick?, The printer has a Photo sensor that is "looking" trugh this plastic tag, when the plastic tag is full of toner, the sensor can't get the signal, and then it says that the waste bottle is full..!!!
TONY!!
THANK YOU WORKED BEAUTIFULLY! However at first I made the mistake of thinkning it was the "WHITE BARCODE STICKER" he was referencing, but he is talking about a black sticker with like foggy looking windows on the very far right hand side edge/corner. I used tweezers to pull off carefully, then cleaned, put back on and it is WORKING AGAIN ~ THANK YOU SO MUCH, YOU HELPED ME SAVE SOME MONEY, I SEND YOU A HUG! REBECCA

Tewee ... On a Ricoh 3500? I have 12 of these throught our 3 locations and I have a couple of spare waste toner bottles, I bring them back and clean them on slow days, they work fine.
I like Tony's post, that's the way we do it here and it works fine.
Chris
You must replace the waste toner bottle. There is a counter on the bottle that won't allow you to just empty it. If you empty the bottle, the printer will continue to ask for a new bottle until you install a new bottle.

The used toner bottle is not actually a bottle at all. Not sure what you emptied, but it sounds like the actual toner bottle itself. The waste toner is contained with in the transfer belt unit. When you open the right side cover, this is the unit that is attached to the door. It is a brown belt that provides transfer of the image to the drum and separates the paper from the drum. Remove this unit by locating the release levers on either side of the transfer unit (push both of them towards the machine). After removing, you will need to actually take the belt unit off of the transfer unit. To do this, remove the two tension springs on either side, and then take a small flat bladed scredriver and release the clips that hold it down (you will see when you get started). Once you get it off, you will see the long blade that actually scrapes the toner off the belt. Dump the waste toner out this end. You will need to shake it pretty hard. A better (and cleaner) option is to vaccum it out using the crevace tool on you vac. Just make sure you completely empty it. Now....do everything in reverse.
Hope this helps,
Chad
