I have a Boss C650 1000W 4-channel amp.
The fuses with the fuse holders all burned!
where can I find these parts and how can I fix this?
CALL BOSE THEM SELF..OR A BOSE REPAIR SHOP THEY WILL GET THEM FOR YOU.......
THEN TAKE THE AMP APART DESOLDER THE HOLDERS AND REPLACE THEM YOU CAN GET A REAL CHEAP SOLDERING IRON AND SOLDER @ RADIO SHACK CALL A REPAIR PLACE.....FIX IT YOUR SELF SAVE YOUR SELF A LOT OF MONEY AS LONG YOU DID NOT BURN UP COMPONENTS TAKE A LOOK INSIDE FIRST BEFORE YOU BUY ANYTHING GOOD LUCK
HI..YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO GET THEM FROM A REPAIR PLACE...OR JUST WIRE IN 2 NEW IN LINE FUSES TO THE BOARD......BUT I WOULD THINK THAT IF THE HOLDERS ARE BURNT UP YOU MAY HAVE SOME REAL DAMAGE INSIDE THE UNIT.. I WOULD JUST WIRE IN 2 IN-LINES NO MORE THAN 12'' FROM THE AMP...IF THAT WORKS THEN TRY TO GET THE FUSE HOLDERS IF YOU WANT FOR LOOKS
GOOD LUCK

SOURCE: amp heats up quickly, melts fuses and shut down after a while
It sounds like the power cable you have may be too small. If you're using an 8 gauge for both the power and the ground, try switching to a 4 gauge for both.
SOURCE: i have a 1000w amp but it got burned why??
Hello,
I'm sorry but your problem was a little confusing. Your speakers worked fine, you hooked up a 1000W amp and now you cant hear the sound ?
Then you say "they say because the wires were connected wrong in the amp it burned" does that mean your amp burnt out ?
Please post back and sort these facts out for further assistance.
As of right now im not sure if the problem is with the speakers or the amp itself.
SOURCE: fuse keeps melting
yes this can be repaired and no you wouldn't have to have an external fuse. What you need to do is first find someone that is good with a soldering iron. Next open the amplifier and look at the area where the fuse holder is located. You want to make sure that the area is clean and that the board is not damaged. To make sure that the area is clean well take some regular rubbing alcohol, 70% or higher, and a small paint brush put the brush in the alcohol and clean the area that was causing the problem regardless if there is any debris or not. This not only cleans the area but also prepares it for the solder job that is to come. Next take your soldering iron out apply solder wick to the board and remove all the old solder on the board. Make sure that you do not lift the pads that the connections are soldered to. after you have removed all the old solder from both the board and the fuse holder place the fuse holder into the slots where it belongs and apply some flux and fresh solder to the area. this will take no time to cool. be careful not to burn the board. After that has all been done put the amplifier back together and test it out. You should not have any problems after that.

The fuse on my amp melted to my fuse...
What do i do??
Yes, I agree with pbabin he has helped me. Bypass them or find the same kind in another amp if possable, one broken or not needed and replace with those. Your probably better off following pbabin advise. But you must, as he told you, must make sure you have an external fuse hooked up. I would advise one set of fuses at the amp it self, not more than 12 inhces or so from amps location and of course the main fuse at the battery. Good luck and let us know how you make out.
If the fuse holders melted and Boss can't/won't supply them, you can bypass them internally but then you MUST (repeat MUST) use an external fuse of the appropriate rating.
This is generally an indication that the amp is being driven too hard or the fuses in the fuse holder were of poor quality.
