I used the conversion software that came with the device and had many problems trying to convert my videos. I kept getting an error every time I tried to convert a video. I managed to get one video to successfully convert but when it is transferred to the player the length of the video is 0 and I get an error when trying to play the video on the device. Anyone know how to fix this? Am I maybe missing something?
I suggest you try this conversion program and if it works the uninstall the other conversion programs.
Check the specification of your MP3 player to determine the type of video file format it uses. Most common video files that MP3 players use are, AVI and WMV, there may be others such as FLV, MOV and DivX. If your player cannot play a video then it is an incompatible video file format, then you need to convert that video file to a format that your MP3 player uses. After video conversion then copy the video files to your MP3 player using the USB cable from your computer. I use AppGeeker video converter for all my video converting. Handles everything.

Hi dalychris,
Next time you connect the mp3 to the computer, go to the folder where the videos are dropped (generally a folder named VIDEO) and check what the extension is. If it is not mp4, you'll have to convert and resize it. There are plenty of free and paid programs available for such conversions. The standard video format for a walkman is the same as that for an ipod, .mp4, so you can try out this site: http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/iPod/ . There are other freeware programs available too, like VirtualDub that you can use to convert your videos, or paid programs like Xilisoft. After the conversion is done, you should be able to transfer and play the file easily.

The video that works is in .avi format which is supposed to be supported by the player, however it still won't play the video once it is on the device. I really don't want to have to download a bunch more software since I already have two different conversion softwares installed
