Converted Videos won't play on my Ematic E6 jr

I used the conversion software that came with the device and had many problems trying to convert my videos. I kept getting an error every time I tried to convert a video. I managed to get one video to successfully convert but when it is transferred to the player the length of the video is 0 and I get an error when trying to play the video on the device. Anyone know how to fix this? Am I maybe missing something?

The video that works is in .avi format which is supposed to be supported by the player, however it still won't play the video once it is on the device. I really don't want to have to download a bunch more software since I already have two different conversion softwares installed

I suggest you try this conversion program and if it works the uninstall the other conversion programs.
Check the specification of your MP3 player to determine the type of video file format it uses. Most common video files that MP3 players use are, AVI and WMV, there may be others such as FLV, MOV and DivX. If your player cannot play a video then it is an incompatible video file format, then you need to convert that video file to a format that your MP3 player uses. After video conversion then copy the video files to your MP3 player using the USB cable from your computer. SOURCE: everytime I try to load videos onto my mp3 it wont

Hi dalychris,

Next time you connect the mp3 to the computer, go to the folder where the videos are dropped (generally a folder named VIDEO) and check what the extension is. If it is not mp4, you'll have to convert and resize it. There are plenty of free and paid programs available for such conversions. The standard video format for a walkman is the same as that for an ipod, .mp4, so you can try out this site: http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/iPod/ . There are other freeware programs available too, like VirtualDub that you can use to convert your videos, or paid programs like Xilisoft. After the conversion is done, you should be able to transfer and play the file easily.

Is there an online user's manual for this device?

Ematic has the User's Manual for several of their products on the product page. The Ematic E6 series MP3 player/video player are here: https://ematic.us/mp3-players/e6-series . Click on the Support tab. The direct link to the manual for these tablets is http://www.ematic.us/sites/default/files/E6%20Series%20User%20Manual.pdf . There is also the E6 Jr MP3 player/video player here: https://ematic.us/mp3-players/e6-jr-4gb-8gb-16gb . The manual for these is here: http://www.ematic.us/sites/default/files/E6%20User%20Manual1.pdf .

I hope this helps.

How to i play videos on a RCA M4204

Log onto the RCA website and download the RCA SMV Video Converter. The Opal only plays videos that are in one specific format. This converter will put your videos into that exact format (see Resources below).
Install the RCA SMV Video Converter once you have downloaded the software.
Open the RCA SMV Video Converter software to begin putting videos onto your RCA Opal.
Connect the RCA Opal to your computer using the USB chord that came with the device.
Wait until the RCA SMV Video Converter software reads that the device has been connected. You will know this when the bottom of the software screen reads “Player Detected: Opal 1GB 2GB.”
Select the “Browse” option to find any videos that are on your computer which you wish to add to the RCA Opal.
Click the box next to “Transfer output files to OPAL 1GB 2GB after conversion is complete” after you have selected all of the videos which you wish to convert. This will automatically add the videos to your RCA Opal after they have been converted.
Click the “Convert” box after you have selected all of the videos. The videos will automatically begin to convert to the correct format. Once they have been converted, your videos will automatically upload to your RCA Opal.

Icant put videos on ematic mp3 player?

What you need to do is have your videos set to be converted by the MTV convertor that came with the device. It's usually on a mini disk.

You have to download the software and then input the video you want to convert.

The thing is that not any video will be recognized by the software. You'll need to convert most stuff to .avi files first.

For example, if you download a non-copy righted clip from youtube, you have to convert that to .flv format. (I recommend keepvid.com) Then you need to run that that to an .avi format. For that I would use MediaEncoder from sourceforge.

Cant convert video to my philips sa3020 or 3021

Unlike most devices the Philips 3020 will only play videos that are converted using the software that came with it and it will only open wmv files. So these are the steps that you need to do to successfully to play video on the 3020:

1) convert video into wmv format using any wmv converter (unless it is already in wmv format). I use WinAVI video converter and it works perfectly.

2) after the file is converted then you need to open up the Philips media converter that came with your MP3 player and add the files that you just converted to wmv format and then hit convert. If you can't find it here is a link to the download http://www.p4c.philips.com/files/s/sa3020_37/sa3020_37_mcs_aen.zip

3) After the second conversion process then connect up your 3020 and drag and drop the files.

** The Philips media converter will only accepts files im wmv format so that is why the first conversion step is necessary. If you try to open any other format it will not respond.

Hope this helps!
