I can't get my clock set on my GE stove model # JB645DT1BB It said to hold for 3 seconds to change the time but it doesn't change. HELP Please

To Set the Clock
The clock must be set to the correct time
of day for the automatic oven timing functions
to work properly,The time of day cannot be
changed during a delayed cooking or a delayed
self-cleaning cycle,
1. Touch the Clock pad twice.
For models without a Clock pad:
Hold the + and - pads for 3 seconds.

2. Touch the + or - pads.
If the + or - pads are not touched within one
minute after Step 1, the display reverts to the
original setting. If this happens, repeat Step 1
and reenter the time of day.

3. Touch the Start/On pad until the time of
day shows in the display. This enters the
time and starts the clock.
To check the time of day when the display is
showing other information, simply touch the
Clock pad. The time of day shows until another
pad is touched.

The touchpad is locked

On some models there is a button at the top of the touchpad in the middle that toggles the touchpad on or off.

On other models you simply tap twice in the upper left hand portion of the touchpad to toggle it on or off.

And then there are some models that you use keystrokes to toggle the touchpad. Normally you would Press and Hold the ALT or FN function key near the bottom left portion of the keyboard then hit the key that toggles the touchpad. The key that toggles the touchpad will have the icon of a finger pointing at a square which represents the touchpad.

Below is what I found in your user manual on the touchpad. It looks like your touchpad is controlled by software and there is no button or keystrokes that control the toggling.

Customizing the Touch Pad and Track Stick You can use the Mouse Properties window to disable the touch pad and track stick or adjust their settings.
  1. Open the Control Panel, click Printers and Other Hardware, and then click Mouse.

  2. In the Mouse Properties window:

    • Click the Device Select tab to disable the touch pad and track stick.

    • Click the Pointer tab to adjust touch pad and track stick settings.

  3. Click OK to save the settings and close the window.

I can't disable touch pad

There should be a touch pad icon in lower right where your tasbar is, right click for options to disable, if no luck! go into device manager, it will give a list of drivers, locate the touch pad, click on plus to the left and right click, there should be a choice to disable, click over that to disable.

How to used the touch pad

Use the touch pad to move the pointer around the screen.
Run your finger over the touch pad in the direction you want the pointer to move and then click the left touch bar (this works as the left button on a mouse).

The left button at the bottom of my touch pad has a problem. the click is delayed, i have got to hold the click for longer so that the click may occur

@inam_khan_10

Try the following:
1. If your computer is running on Windows, try to boot into Safe Mode (you need to press F8 continuously upon boot-up then choose Safe Mode) and check if your Touchpad left clicker. If it works ok, then a software problem is causing the Touchpad to delay like that. Try reading this guide to solve it.
2. If Step 1 above doesn't work, try to use a compressed can of air to clean the Touchpad clicker and see if same issue occurs.

If still no go, this is a sign that your Touchpad is already wearing out and it needs to be replaced.

Good luck.

My mouse pad cursor do move but it doest whant to enter if i tab on it

some touch pads have a setting that must be set to allow a tap to be interpreted as a click. Go to Start-->control panel-->mouse, and look for a setting that tells the touch pad to allow it to sense clicks on the touch pad instead of requiring a button to be pressed. If not, try updating your touch pad driver. Start, right click on computer, click on Manage, when computer management window opens, click on the device manager in the left pane. Find mice and other pointing devices in the middle pane, and click the small triangle to the left of it, to expand it. Find the one under there that stands for your touch pad, and right-click on it, and click "Update Driver software." make sure you are connected to the internet first, and let it connect to Windows Update to see if it can find a newer driver.

My Acer 5810T laptop touch pad click function is not working, however the cursor/mouse movement via the touch pad is working well

In the bottom left of your screen by the clock there should be an icon that says touch pad device, synaptics touch, or something along those lines. If you click on this it will give you different options for the touch pad and one of them is tap to click, make sure this is turned on.

Mouse touch-pad

Click Start > Control Panel > Mouse > Device Settings (tab) > Settings (right hand side, immediately under the white box with your touch pad device listed)

Select "Tapping" on the left and make sure it is enabled.
If tapping was enabled, go to "Sensitivity" on the left and adjust the touch settings.
