2 ohm amp to 2 10 inch dual coil 4 ohm subs how does it need to be wired

Is the amp a single channel? If so, the only way to connect the subs (without overloading the 2 ohm stable amp) is to wire each sub's voice coils in parallel (2 ohm) and then connecting the subs in series (4 ohms). If the amp is two channel, the subs can have their voice coils connected in parallel (as before) and then each sub connected to its own channel.

Need a wiring diagram to hook up two 10 inch subs and 15 inch sub a kicker 250.1 amp

Series or parallel? Single, dual voice coil? I'm not sure you have the right size amp for all 3 speakers. And I wouldn't wire the 10's together with the 15. The larger sub is going to have a larger power demand. You could wire the 2-10's together on this amp, and get another mono amp for the 15.

I need to wire 3 woofers but 2 are dual voice coil and one is single voice coil

sure, if you wish to wire them all together, wire the first dual voice coil subs first voice coil negative to 2nd voice coil positive, second voice coil negative to single voice coil sub positive, and single voice coil negative to 2nd dual voice coil subs 1st voice coil positve (again with the second dual voice coil sub, run the first voice coil negative to the 2nd voice coil positve) your speaker leads will be attatched to first dual voice coils 1st voice coil positive, and 2nd dual voice coils 2nd voice coil negative)

What's a dual voice coil sub?

Dual voice coil subwoofer has two separate voice coils, offering more flexibility in system wiring than a standard sub. The DVC sub can be wired in three different configurations: parallel, series, or independent. This way, you can wire the subwoofer according to your system design and preferences.

What kind of amp to buy for an alumapro 10 inch sub 4ohm 250watts rms?

Is your sub single or dual voice coil. This will also make a difference in choosing amps. Pretty much any amp that will supply your required power will do. But, if you have a single voice coil sub, you will be wanting to look for RMS power at 4 ohms. If you have a dual 4 ohm voice coil sub, you can wire it to a 2 ohm load. Then you will need to search for amps that supply the RMS requirements of the sub at 2 ohms. The choices are almost endless. I am an RE Audio dealer, so I absolutely know that they will do you well. Hope this helps.

How do i wire mtx 9500 subs 2 10'' down to a one ohm

THE T9510-04 SUBS ARE SINGLE COIL SUBS AND YOU CAN VIEW THAT WIRING DIAGRAM AT THE FOLLOWING LINK:
http://www.mtx.com/caraudio/products/subwoofers/TechData_T9510-04.pdf

THE T9510-44 SUBS ARE DUAL VOICE-COIL SUBS AND YOU CAN VIEW THAT WIRING DIAGRAM AT THE FOLLOWING LINK:
http://www.mtx.com/caraudio/products/subwoofers/TechData_T9510-44.pdf

SINCE YOU NEED A 1 OHM LOAD, I PRESUME BRIDGED AND ARE USING TWO SUBS, THEN HOPEFULLY YOU HAVE THE DUAL VOICE COIL TYPE, AS THEY ARE DUAL 4 OHM AND YOU WILL HAVE TO CONNECT THE VOICE-COILS IN PARALLEL WHICH WILL MAKE EACH SPEAKER A 2 OHM SPEAKER AND THEN CONNECT THE TWO SPEAKERS THEMSELVES IN PARALLEL AND THIS WILL PROVIDE YOU THE 1 OHM LOAD. IF YOU IN FACT HAVE THE SINGLE 4 OHM VOICE COIL VERSION, THEN IT WILL ONLY PARALLEL THE PAIR DOWN TO 2 OHMS. OK. LET ME KNOW IF YOU NEED FURTHER ASSISTANCE.....V

Whats the rateing on the polk 10 inch sub woofer

Hello dread2477,

The Polk Audio db1040 is a single voice coil 4ohm subwoofer. The db1040DVC is dual voice coil with 4ohm coils which can be wired in parallel for a 2ohm load, or in series for an 8ohm load. They are practically the same sub. The RMS power range is 50-270 watts, with a maximum peak power of 540 watts.

The full specifications including recommended enclosures and physical dimensions can be found here.

Hope this helps.

How do i wire two 15 inch subs to 2 ohms

Hello familia_gome,

Those MOFO-15's have dual 1ω voice coils. So the only way you can get 2 of them to present a 2ω load is to use 1 voice coil on each one with the two of them wired in series. Using both voice coils, you can get a 1/4ω load by wiring the voice coils in parallel and then wiring the subs themselves in parallel. You'll get a 1ω load with the voice coils in series and then parallel the subs. Or you'll get a 4ω load with both the voice coils and the subs in series.

Here's a link to Power Acoustik's PDF for the MOFO's. I recommend that you check out the wiring diagrams on page 3.

Hope this helps.
