Door pops open during wash cycle

Unplug from the mains. Lower the drain hose into a floor drain or a pail. You should be able to open the door. If not, run another quick wash cycle. The level switch should work now.

call a local repair service if it is old then plan to replace it

You don't say why you want to bypass the switch. Why not replace it? It means someone could open the door during a wash cycle flooding the room.

Did you have a small part of clothing sticking out the door? Water can leak past the door seal on this case. Other than that, run the machine empty u ntill you find the leak location.

Same problem! Flooded the laundry room and about 1/4 of the basement. Happens randomly, not every load. Checked all hoses, they are snug and don't appear to be leaking at all. During the wash cycle it you can hear it spraying water inside the washer and the floor starts flooding. I bought the washer Sept. 19, 2009 and have had this problem for about 5 weeks now. Sears refuses to do anything about it, because it's no longer under warranty.

check the outlet tube for cracks or a loose clamp, also make sure the tube is draining in the sink or drain tube and has not slipped out.
