I use windows explorer to copy voice files from RCA RP5017A voice recorder to my Windows XP, but can't play them. They have filename extension s16, or s24, or s48. I bought this recorder with the software missing. RCA tech support don't have anything about RP5017A, not even a manual. I installed a close model RP5022's voice manager software, but it only recognize *.voc files. Search on the web for s16/s24/s48 file player but no result. Any help would be very much appreciated.
For Windows, you can download "Data Conversion Tool for PA-VR Series" from an Italian website. It's a drop and drag feature than turns the .48s into .wav. I am looking for a solution that works on MAC. http://esupport.sharp-cee.com/html/software/DataOutputDetail.php?TemplateLang=it&ID=96 Click on 'Scarcia' to download it.

I am recording using Sharp PA-VR10E, and the files are with .S16 and I am not able to run them on Windows Vista.
