You can change the repeat delay times on your keyboard.
Click on the Control Panel then Keyboard icon. In the Speed tab you can change the Repeat delay and the Repeat rate settings to suit your requirements..
A high number of processes can slow down your computer, but only if there is a high CPU useage. The most intensive CPU useage would most likely be the virus scanner, it is most likely running in the background.
To check on the CPU usage goto the Task Manager and click on Performance, if it is running over 40% the CPU is really busy.
Open Word and Task Manager, click on Applicatons to see what applications are running. Take a note of the applications that are running and get back to me.
Now click on Processes and click on the CPU label twice and you will see how much CPU useage is used by each process. Take a note of the process and the User name that have high CPU usage and get back to me.
Are you using a wireless keyboard and mouse? This could be the problem, if so use a standard keyboard and mouse.

1. Go to Options, Advanced Options, then Sim Card
2. On your Blackberry, type MEPD (You will not see any text appear on the screen while typing MEPD)
3. Type MEP, then hold the [ALT BUTTON] and press 2 on your Blackberry keyboard (Once again, you will not see any text appear on the screen while typing)
4. You should see a prompt "Enter Network MEP Code". Type in the unlock code and press the trackball
If code says accepted, your BlackBerry is now unlocked. To verify your device is unlocked, follow steps 1 & 2 and "Network" will say "disabled". If Network says "Active", then it is still locked to the standard carrier.

Thanks for the suggestion, but the problem isn't the repeat delay. It's actually when I'm typing anything: this comment, for example. The keys that I hit appear very slowly, in spite of how fast I type them.
it's all about the graphics card ati* unninstall and you will se it's working well,
