Tv says receiver is not on and do not respond to remote control

Possibly faulty infrared receiver on tv

If you have a newer television, the remote control that came with the TV might not change the channel if you are using a set top box. Try using the cable box or satellite remote instead.

Your post caught my attention, paulholly497, as I found it interesting! What type of receiver do you have? The model number is located on the front panel in the bottom left corner. If it's a Solo receiver, which is only one tuner for one TV, that would mean that the secondary TV is being mirrored off of the primary. If it's a Duo, which is meant for two TV's because it has two tuners, it's likely that you have it in Solo mode. If that's the case, click the Mode button on the front panel of the receiver until both TV lights are lit up. Once both lights are lit, the receiver will then operate the TV's separately and independently!

After tune in any chanel.Check ur tv remote display button on the remote control.Any tv channels play in 1080i modes are in HD channels.

It depends on the TV a bit. Which model of Broksonic TV do you have? Do you have the original remote? (remotes.com has replacement remotes for many TVs.) Look at the TV (or the original remote) for a menu or channel add subtract option. (The TV is probably programmed to skip the channels that didn't have a signal in the past so you need to reprogram this.) If the TV is a really simple TV (with just the channel and volume controls on the TV), you'll need the original or a direct substitute remote (or a higher end programmable remote). Most basic universal remotes will control power, channel and volume but not the reprogram channels option (in my experience). If you can program the add/remove channels, press 60 on the remote, wait for the TV to go to that channel and then press the Add Channel button. Alternately, with the satellite receiver on, press the combination to search all channels and program the skip to channels with signal.

For the Dynex ZRC-102 remote control channel switching.

1. Press the MENU button and select SETUP.

2. Go down the list and select FAVORITE CHANNEL MODE and switch it to OFF.

The +/- CHANNEL buttons will then switch channels when pressed.

I turned the TV off. I held in all of the (4) buttons on the front of the TV and turned the TV back on again....this seemed to free up the remote control access and I was able to work the TV normally. The four buttons were the channel and the volume controls.

bought beko 32 wlu520hd when i change channel or volume the white indicator light on the tv flashes and starts going through all channels or volume just keeps going up .as if im holding down the buttons when im not , buttons on tv and remote do not respond. until i rub my finger over the senser on the tv, it stops but as soon as i press any button on the tv or remote it starts all over again .is this a fault in tv or is it static build up, does any one have the same problem , ive been on the beko web sight and cant find anything about this
