After new router installed can't get into msn account

Are you really the owner of the account? If so, you should know the password.
Or, you should know the "secret" questions and their answers.

then choose i forgot my passsword click next
next you are required to write down your email account and the barcode below, then click next
you need to answer two secret questions, these questions was asked before when you first fill up the your email account information..
when you can answer the two secret questions, you now can access your account and can change your password..

Hi, Resetting password in Hotmail is a little tricky. Here are the steps that you can do:

• Go to the Windows Live Hotmail Reset password page
• Type the Email address that you want to reset
• Carefully type the captcha characters on the box
• Click next or continue
• Answer the account information and answer the secret question.
• Click continue.
• (IT would be advisable to change your password periodically to avoid issues with the password.)
• If Hotmail still log you into your account automatically and you want to change your (forgotten) password, click Send yourself a password reset e-mail message. and click Send Message.
• If you have provided an alternate email (try creating a temporary alternate email address to retrieve the email to reset your password) for your Windows Live Hotmail account, you can also send the password reset email to that address. Choose Send yourself a password reset e-mail message. and click Send
• IT will ask some information about your location (in case your out of the country) and update the secret question and secret answer. and continue.
• now you should be able to enter a new password, confirm the new password and continue then done.

If you've forgotten the answer to your "secret" question(s), and you've forgotten your password, all you can do is to contact HOTMAIL, citing some other E-mail ID, and convince them that you-are-you, and ask for a new password.

Hi, Normally if your account gets blocked, you are still able to do the log in process, only that you will be asked to Type in and Match some Security characters before you can then sign in. And if it is that you have forgotten your password, you can use the 'Forgot Password' feature, which should work.

Worst case Scenario is if you have done all this process and used your Secret questions and answers and it still refused you access, then it is either you do not own the account really (double-check your username), or someone has Hijacked your account and changed all the security settings.

You have 2 options here:

1. If you supplied an alternate email address, select that instead of providing answers to questions on the forgot your password link. This will email a password reset email to that email address.

Passwords seem to be a hot topic among MSN Hotmail users. Apparently people lose them frequently, because I get a lot of questions relating to password loss and theft.
If you've simply forgotten your password, MSN Hotmail does provide at least one level of back-door that you can use to recover it - your alternate email address or secret question. If you don't have those, you're probably out of luck.
Here's the approach to take when you've lost your password....

If your sign in to Hotmail fails, notice that there's a link immediately below the password field:
Click on that, and you'll be taken the "match the picture" question:
