Paper feeding problems Riso TR1510

The two large wheels pull the paper into the machine. Once the paper is halfway in it stops and the jam light comes on. It seems like a timing issue. The paper buckles a bit when entering the feed rollers.

In some cases, not all; the paper feed rollers get dry and slick. If so they tend to feed at times and sometimes stop halfway at times. Look at your rollers.

Riso's are famous for this, i will scrub the rubber timing roll with rubber rejuvenator and clean the steel roll with alcohol.The riso paper feed clutches are weak compared to what they were in this series you may have to replace the clutch. Bud, after doing some research you need to clean the oneway bearings on the pickup and feed rolls, adjust feed table hieght and lastly check/adjust timing in drive and feed roller-you will need a manual for this.

Hope this may help;

your wheel on one side is impacted with small pieces of paper
this causes the paper flow to go unevenly you need to clean you wheels on both sides oil them and wipe dry with a paper towel
then do the paper feed jam clear and let a few pieces go thru to pick up any remiaining debris

Minolta DiAlta model 151f, when i try to use the automatic paper feed on the top of the machine the paper goes in about half way then stops then a message comes caution original doc jam

Try cleaning the pickup wheels that pull the paper into the feeder. There might be an electrical sensor problem also that is not sensing the right paper size. So lets start with cleaning the feeder

Riso GR3770 will not pull the paper through once it passes the initial feed assembly. The paper ''picks up'' just fine, but after the lead edge enters the machine, it kicks off impression and gives a...

what happens sometimes is the rear side of the registration (shiny silver color) roller becomes worn down so bad that the spring cannot grab properly. the registration roller, in this case, would have to be replaced.

the way to check is by getting to the back of the machine, and if this is the cause, the spring should be a little wobbly on the shaft. with a new roller, the spring fits snug, and grabs properly for it to feed.

Take one of those flat plastic rulers and push it through all over.. so that any forein ripped paper whatever, clears the way.. The paper is supposed to buckle on entry.. That's how it's designed. It could be a timing issue.. when the paper is fed in it buckles against the timing roller.. the roller turns only when its supposed to. Each sheet stays buckled against the timing roller until it turns, that's how the machine draws only one piece at a time. It's could be the feed clutch.. There's a little magnetic clutch that actuates the feed roller to pull the paper in. when this feed clutch gets weak it barely works or it slips and doesn't pull the paper in at the right time. I've replaced these often on my equipment.. but I've also found that static electricity plays a big role. If your area is too dry, the paper sticks together increasing the resistance, pulling either multiple pages or just too much resistance for the feed rollers.. screwing up the time.. Make all adjustments to the feed rollers first to ensure it's not a huge problem before you start looking for a clutch. Essentially if the paper doesnt make it into the feed roller on time it is a timing issue.. but it's starting from the feed rollers.

Sharp AL-800 Paper Feed

Is this something that has been getting worse or just happen at once? If it just appeared it good be something in the paper tray stopping it from liftting or something behind the paper tray or in the paper path of the copier. If it has been slowly happen try to clean the paper pickup rollers with WD-40 and a rag and clean the rubber only. If that works you done, but if it say's to add paper you may have a broken paper present sensor. The jams could also be the paper feed clutch is worn out. Worse case use the bypass tray. Good Luck!!
