ABIT is7-vs no ethernet

Installs of Xp, vista, and windows 7 have all been unable to find the ethernet controller driver. its onboard LAN but is constantly listed as ethernet controller ( with the lil yellow icon) in device manager.i have the mobo cd and installed all of the stuff out of autorun. later i got desperate and found 3 lan drivers in the cd, but none of them seem to work ( maybe for other models of the board).

pretty annoyed, just want ethernet to work.

on this same board, i tried installing my gigabit PCI card and my MSI wireless PCI card..... neither seem to work, but its possible these are broken.... the motherboard itself is brand new ( never been used )

http://www.abit.com.tw/page/uk/motherboard/motherboard_detail.php?pMODEL_NAME=IS7-V2&fMTYPE=Socket 478&pPRODINFO=Driver

If the link doesn't work right you may have to copy and paste the entire link into your browswer

Download the Realtek Lan driver you should be good to go

Compaq Presario 2050NX onboard pnp nic (LAN) device not found - reinstalled onboard LAN device driver, still can't see it

For Windows XP CLICK HERE
In Windows 7 the driver installs automatically
I would suggest uninstalling all drivers for the network adapter then reboot and allow the system to find the NIC again. If this is Windows XP uninstall all drivers for the NIC, reboot, and install the above driver.
If it is Windows 7 uninstall the drive, reboot and allow device manager to locate the driver itself.

I re installed windows XP and now my ethernet

You can find drivers for your motherboard at the following location:

http://www.abit.com.tw/page/en/download/download_driver_detail.php?pFILE_TYPE=Driver&pMAIN_TYPE=Motherboard&pTITLE_ON_SCREEN=AB9+Pro&pSOCKET_TYPE=LGA775

Scroll down and look for: Realtek Gigabit Lan Driver

No sound device found

From the manufacturer's web-site:
http://www.abit.com.tw/page/en/motherboard/motherboard_detail.php?pMODEL_NAME=IS7&fMTYPE=Socket+478

download the device-driver(s) that you need.

Note that this a "legacy" motherboard -- ABIT may possibly not be creating device-drivers for such a "previous-generation" motherboard that work with Windows 7.

Good luck!

No ethernet driver for is7-v2 in xp/vista/w7

Take a look here:
http://www.abit.com.tw/page/en/download/download_driver_detail.php?pFILE_TYPE=Driver&fSEARCHTEXT=is7-v2

Be sure to also install the chipset drivers, if that is missing it would explain why so many things do not work. If they still do not work after installing these, I would recommend returning it to the store and getting a replacement, it could be a lemon.

Lan and wireless driver for toshiba a135-s2246

Unfortunately, the Toshiba Satelite A135-S2246 was never designed to run XP, only Vista. Which is why you can't find any drivers for XP. The nearest you can get is to find a laptop running XP SP2 that is using the same LAN (ethernet controller) and WLAN (wireless ethernet controller), and see if they will work.

Here are the drivers I found for XP (please check which one's you are trying to install):

Atheros WiFi card driver:
http://www.wireless-driver.com/download/atheros/2007-7-23/Atheros-ar5bxb6-AR5424-mini-PCI-E-Wireless-Card-Driver-Download.htm

Intel WiFi card driver:
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/default.aspx
You will need to search for the card that you have.

LAN (ethernet controller):
http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=6&PFid=6&Level=5&Conn=4&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false#1
You can pick third or fourth from top depending on your preference.

Please remember that Toshiba, Microsoft, Atheros, Realtek, Intel and especially myself accept no responsibilty for what may, or may not happen when installing drivers not specifically designed for your system. All that said, I hope it works for you.
