What does that mean - "music db" ? I put all of my music on my 1 Gig and it works great. I put all Harry Potters audio books on my 8 GIG and still have 1.5 gig left for music.

It keeps saying not enough space for music DB please free 90 MB when i turn it on

Remove the microSD card, then connect the Sansa to your computer. Delete one or more files (music, photos, videos) until you free up the required amount of memory.

How do i get into the sansa when it says not enough space for db

It happened to me after I formatted my Sansa into a NTFS file system. This is how I solved it:
1) Connect your Sansa to the PC (if the player won't turn on try hold the middle-button while you're connecting it).
2) On My computer right-click the player and choose Format (make sure it's set to FAT32).
3) Now you can turn on your player normally - when you're inside the player menu choose Settings->Format. This will re-create all the player sub folders (music, audiobooks etc).

That's it...
Hope that work for you too... ^_^'

Had this same problem. You need to lock turn off the player. put it into the locked mode and hold down the middle button before plugging it in. Then back up and reformat.

Sansa clip says i must free 4mb then switches off

You should format the device using windows media player or the device itself..that should fix the problem you are having..remember formatting will delete all the date you have on the device..
I hope that helps

Not enough space for Music DB, please free 8 MB

The Sansa m250 requires a separate folder to load your songs to in order to achieve the full 2 GB. Set your USB to MSC. Plug it into your computer. Create a folder TUNES. Then drag and drop your mp3 or wma files to this new folder.
