Minn kota 74 lbs. prop runs when head turns when rotating motor from centre to right, but stops when you turn motor from centre to left. The light on top stays on.
call the 800 number for minn kota on the head of your unit for questions or technical data. they will send you a copy of your manual also if you dont have it. i am not sure what your question is so ask them to save yourself time.
Hi! Here's a schematic: Max 74 Bowmount Make sure the end housing #7has a small mark in it pointed to the bottom (towards the skeg). The bolts can be a pain to line up! Also make sure the armature is all the way forward it can go....past the brushes is the toughest part to get through and lined up. Keep it up, you'll get it! Best of luck Mike
I'm installing a Minn Kota Power Drive 70# on my Crestliner Fishhawk. I understand the 24 volt system. however the boat has 2 black, an orange and a red wire running to the batteries. I know black to neg. but where do the orange and red wires go.

The address is between the brackets. They emailed me a manual for a different trolling motor. They are nice folks. It will take up to a week for you to get a reply.
