Check to see if both wheels are spinning in reverse, if not one of the motors is bad or disconnected and this will affect the forward gears

SOURCE: need to replace wheels on sons power wheels

I just replaced the wheels on the red Fisher Price Kawasaki Brute Force. First use a screw driver to pop off the grey middle nut cover. Then pull of the locking nut with black cap that is under the grey cover you just removed.

Once that is removed the wheel comes right off. There are 4 phillips screws holding the hubs together. Unscrew those and the hubs separate into to pieces (one on each side of the wheel).
Simply place the hubs into the replacement wheels and screw back together. Slide the new wheel on (make sure the washer is still on the rear side of axel).

My replacement wheels actually came with the black replacement locking nuts taped to them. Hammer the replacement locking back on the alex, pop the grey hub cover back on and you are done.

If you are missing the locking nuts, take one of the originals you removed with you to the hardware store and you should have no problem getting them. - MTRAGE

SOURCE: will only drive forward in 1st gear, 2nd gear and

It is propably the gear box. Take the seat off and you will see the gears inside. Mine works only in 2nd and not the 1st or reverse. But I know it is the gear box since my husband replaced the 1st one a while agao. Just need to find the web site for the repacement part. Only cost us about $30 to fix last time. Hope this helps.

Does not operate in reverse

If the vehicle will not go in reverse, but works in both low and high forward speeds you most likely have a bad shifter switch.

The shifter switch is only available in a shifter assembly found here: http://www.mendingshed.com/j4390-9209.html

Replacing the shifter should get your Power Wheels running correctly.

Thank you,

Power wheel F150 only works in reverse. (nothing happens in high or low gear). The problem started after he sprayed the truck with a hose. Is it fixable?

My son had the same problem. At first I was angry because we just bought this toy, but then I realized he didn't have it in gear all the way. I had him put it in reverse and drive it back a little. Then I told him to put it in drive, and (making sure it was properly in gear), told him to go and it did. I think it just takes the kids a little while to get used to it and make sure it's properly in gear. Good luck!

Barbie jeep won't go forward.

I think you need to unscrew or pop out the switch where you select forward, reverse, etc. Then clean off any metal parts and reconnect. I had the same problem and this worked for me on a different model (Powerwheels Ninja).
