Not a good idea to buy USED power chair batteries. Even new ones just have a 3-4 year life span. But yes, you can buy used batteries.

Look in your owners manual for the flash code anwser. Make sure when you hit the power button you only touch it for 1 sec not more. If you press the power button for more the 2-3 seconds you place the power chair in LOCK OUT mode. lights will flash and not power. also check your free wheel levers. one on each moter. Mike

SOURCE: Jazzy wheel chair

When a chair sits for a long period of time ( four weeks or more) without being charged, the batteries die. To help you with the freewheel mode I would have to know what model of Jazzy it is.

SOURCE: Hello,

It sounds like a battery problem more than anything. If it were a fuse, the chair would not move at all. When batteries are stored, they need to be kept charged by charging every couple of week or so (ideally). There may be other problems causing this, such as a short somewhere or a problem with one of the motors/brakes/electronic componets draining the batteries, but I feel this is unlikely given what you have described. I would have the batteries checked at a dealer with a proper battery tester. Preferably have the charger checked at the same time. We use a specific battery/charger tester in our shop that is connected to a computer and will give a graph of the battery/charger condition. This way there is no arguments as to whether the batteries or charger is faulty. Hope this has helped.

My battery charger for my Jazzy 600 does not light up or get warm when I plug it in. The chair has not been used for months.

I tried to charge my jazzy. The charge light (red) remained on for several hours. Finally I moved the wire slightly the charge light turned green than faded to red. What is my problem? Your solution would be greatly appreciated.

My batteries in my jazzy select gt power chair are dead.would it be possible to replace them with a car battery.

I would not recommend you to do this. The batteries that are used for this application are a deep cycle battery. A regular battery may get hot and you will just have problems. Get the correct batteries for the unit. They take U1 32Ah 12V batteries.

My Jazzy 6 Scooter will not charge at all, no matter how long I have it plugged in, I have had it since May of 2010,, used it all of 2 months and it has been in my garage since.

bzred since it sat so long without charging the batteries are shot and need to be replaced. If you had the problem before you put it up then you can have a bad charger or even bad batteries, I would replace the batteries and check the charger. Fortunately the chair has a 12 month warranty on most parts except the batteries. Better yet contact the provider who sold you your chair and they will have to repair it under warranty. If Medicare paid for the chair then they will pay to replace the batteries Hope this helps you

ggirl why did you buy a pig in the poke they should refund your money because the batteries should have a six month warranty. Now always ask for the date code on batteries you are buying they shouldn't be any older than 4 months old. There are good batteries out there but if I offend anyone I'm sorry but MK batteries are very good also Interstate batteries and probably others that I'm not aware of. The best way to insure good batteries are buying fresh batteries, Charge them before you use the chair and always get into the habit of charging overnite if you use the chair daily. Never leave the charger plugged in more that 12 hours and if you don't use the chair daily charge at least once a week and always put up fully charged. Mk recommends charging the batteries daily for the first 20 days. Never run the batteries or let them fall below the red light on your battery level indicator. Your chair runs on about a 5 volt range (26-21 volts) after that the red light blinks like crazy. If it falls below 20 volts the charger will not charge the batteries. If you take care of them they should last you 3 years or more. Hope this helps
