Can a Box Switch Record Logs and Alarms After a Loop Detection-enabled Interface Detects a Loop?

A fixed switch (such as S2309TP-EI-DC) can record alarms but not logs after a loop detection-enabled interface detects a loop. The configurations are as follows:
In V100R005 and V100R006, you can run the snmp-agent trap enable feature-name ldttrap command to enable the alarm function for loop detection. If snmp-agent trap enable has been configured globally, the alarm function has been enabled.
Loop detection and loopback detection have been available since V200R001. You can run the snmp-agent trap enable feature-name ldttrap command to enable the alarm function for loop detection and run the snmp-agent trap enable feature-name lbdt command to enable the alarm function for loopback detection.
You can run the display trapbuffer command to view alarms.

Had F70 &F71 changed ccu and ui won't power up just beeps

Even after they replacing the CCU and the MCU, I still kept getting the three beeps and the F70 Error... the fix was replacing the front controller boards (where the knobs and buttons are). check your connections also, and that they are in the proper slot.

CODE F71 ON A WHIRLPOOL DUET HT WASHING MACHINE

Hi here are the codes at this link below...
http://www.assuredparts.com/WhirlpoolDuetWasherFaultCodes.html

specifically the code is explained below....
USER INTERFACE HEARTBEAT FAILUREIf a Central Control Unit Heartbeat Failure is displayed, no communication is detected from the User Interface to the Central Control Unit.
1. Check for continuity of the User Interface harness.2. Check wire harness connections to the User Interface and the Central Control Unit.3. Replace User Interface if drum is rotating.4. Replace Central Control Unit if drum is not moving.

If you wish to DIY then you MUST obtain a service manual for you exact make and model...
However if you don't wish to DIY, then the very best thing to do is contact a local or head office from Whirlpool, and ask for a referral to an authorised service center. Make contact there, and ask for a service call, now if worried about costings, then when in face to face contact, simply ONLY first ask for a "Quote" then go from there once appraised of the potential costings, at the least then you can decide as to repair or replace?

Error code f70

Hi,

F70 Error code means Central Control Unit Heartbeat Failure. If a Central Control Unit Heartbeat Failure is displayed, no communication is detected from the Central Control Unit to the User Interface.

F71 error code meansUser Interface Heartbeat Failure. If a Central Control Unit Heartbeat Failure is displayed, no communication is detected from the User Interface to the Central Control Unit.

In both the above situations the following things are required to be checked and replaced where required:

1. Continuity of the User Interface harness.
2. Wire harness connections to the User Interface and the Central Control Unit.
3. Replace User Interface if drum is rotating.
4. Replace Central Control Unit if drum is not moving.

Our 5040 tally printer is not being detected by a computer running on Xp and we have tried both parallel and usb cables.

I would guess that the printer is set to use the Serial Interface. I think this is the default interface setting on the 5040, hence the USB and parallel interface will be disabled.
You can change which interface is active from within the printer menu, once you have enabled the USB interface the PC should then detect the printer when you plug it in.

Details on entering the Menu on the 5040 can be found on the Dascom web site; http://dascom.firma.cc/support2/technical_notes/serial_matrix/5040/5040_tn004.htm
