There r two reasons that the player says no disc on display. 1)the disc which you insert in your player is really not redable.check out that disc in any other player and confirm whether its working or showing the same fault in other player too. 2)the disc may be perfectly all right, but the lens in the player which reads the disc is either got dusty or the lens is turned faulty. for dussty lens you can clean it with tissue paper and check out .but for the faulty lens its necessary to replace the lens.thats a costly issue.

Player says No Disc; now I can't get disc out

Sounds like disc loading mechanism fault. Contact any service technician. The mechanism should be taken out from the player for repair. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

Machine won't load disc. Keeps saying loading

Either a mechanism problem or a problem with the Optical unit inside (optical pickup) being dirty or bad.

It keeps saying no disc however the disc is inside ! it keeps loading and the it says no disc Philips DVp player

All you can do is clean the lens with a brand name Lens cleaner for DVD. If that doesn't work you might have a problem that might cost a bit to repair.

hi, try first to insert a clean up CD, and test your Cd or Dvd player with an original CD or Dvd, if the problem persist , your laser sense is defficient you have to go to fix it to a specialist.
hope this helps you
