Speaker not working

I've been using the new g1 adroid phone for the past month. I charge it nightly since the battery life on it is so short. However, it died completely last night even after charging most of the day, so I tooked the back cover off and removed the battery and rebooted. After doing this the speaker stopped working. I am receiving calls and the phone vibrates but I can't hear the ringer. I went into settings to check the ring volume - it was on high. I tried changing ring tones and can't hear anything. I then placed a call and tried putting it on speaker but it doesn't work.
Is the speaker broken or did I somehow turn the speaker off. I can't find anything in the settings.

Htc amaze 4g wont turn on after charged

Try leaving the battery in with it charging all night, if the phone won't turn on after that, you'll need to exchange it.

Chances are your phone got too hot during the night and overcharged the Lithium Ion battery. If those batteries are exposed to too much heat then they won't have the battery life they used to have. You need to purchase a replacement battery or contact your wireless carrier to see about getting another one.

Battery life

I have the same problem. Replacing the battery solves it, but for about 6 months, then the new battery holds less and less charge.

My G1 battery charge does not last that long it discharges real fast

Well, the G1 is a smartphone and it's constantly on the internet so it's obviously going to use a lot more battery power. However 3 hours is ridiculously short! You could try recalibrating the battery. To do this you use your phone until it has completely run out of charge and switches itself off. Then you turn it on again and again until all that it shows is a red LED and it refuses to turn on. After this you charge it while it's off until the green LED has been on for 2 hours. Hopefully this will help improve your battery life.

Speaker on g1 phone stopped working

Well first of, there is your warranty, but if your phone breaks after expirations, there is both an T-Mobile G1 Repair Guide and a third party T-Mobile G1 Repair Service, so there is no need to worry.

Short battery life

$orry, theres no fix to this, after a while batterys begin to die and the life becomes shorter. this could be due to leaving it on charge all day and night and not letting it frequently loose and gain charge again. even my laptop battery has began to lose its battery length - but ive had my battery for a long time. purchase a new battery and try to keep from leaving the A/C adapter in over night. you should notice alot longer battery length after that. rate me :)
