I've had this TV for over 10 years, it has been used more than any TV ive ever owned. When I used it last it would work for 10-15 minutes then the picture would go completely white and eventually the TV would shut off. I called a repair shop and they told me it sounded like a needed a new lamp. I looked up the model number for the lamp on my TV and replaced it, but it still isn't working. When I plug the TV in the lamp light blinks green, and the temp light blinks red; and the unit will not turn on or respond to any commands.
These blinks of LEDs are fault indications. If you wish to get more details about these blinking codes, check this link. The details are there. It is very difficult to include all those details in tables here by this window.

Hi, you have one of two problems, either the color wheel is going or one of the cooling fans are going, the color wheels are a very common problem in samsung dlp`s, sorry I can`t nail it to a specific part but I`d bet it`s the color wheel as they are notorious for failing in samsungs, video-tek

Listen closely. The tv should make a high pitch whine as it turns on. If it does wait and see if it tries this a few times. If yes then check the bulb, I have seen cases where the lamp shoves the power connector back into the set. If the tv starts with a grown or heavy vibration noise, then your color wheel may have broken and needs replaced.

Had similar problem. Thought it was the lamp. Examined old lamp but it appeared to be good. Ordered a new one anyway. Changed the lamp but the TV screen would not come on. It would make the usual noise as it was going to come on normally but it would cycle 3 times & then turn off. The LED lights in the front panel would indicate a defective lamp. Then read about the ballast. Changed the ballast & still same problem. Tried starting the TV without the lamp installed & noticed that the color wheel did not spin. Removed old color wheel & discovered it was broken. This appears to be the cause of all of my problems. I wish I new earlier of the test-turn on the TV without the lamp being installed & check to see if the color wheel is spinning. Would have save money on the lamp & ballast.
