Unless it is still under warranty, no it is not. However, see if there is an obstruction in the water line keeping water from coming through. Yu could have a problem with the water emptying out. Is your machine one that has a waterline going to it or you add the water yourself. F you add the water, there is not a pump on it. It works off gravity to push the water through.

You have to prime the pump.. Hit the water button and open the steam knob.
If no water goes through the steam wand I would check for a clogged water line.

The machine needs to be primes.
Please trie and release hot water though the steam nossle.
Do like this
Open the steamer and then trie and make a cup of coffe. this will make the hot water come out thought the steamer instead of the coffe outlet.
Why you should do this is becuse the machine has it alot more easier to prime it self though the steamer then the coffe outlet.

I have the same machine. I just went on the coffee geeks website and it is easily solved. Just add a few grains of salt to the reservoir - the sensor cant detect water that is purified - strange but true as four grains and it fired up just like that.

The clue here is that the problem involves the hot wate and the single or double espressos. These three functions require accurate water measurements and they are programmable. It appears that the flow meter is not sending the correct information to the control unit. This could happen if you have blockages or if the flow meter is not working anymore. Most likely you need a new flow meter which only costs about $20 and should not be too difficult to replace. It is located between the water tank and the pump.

Hi
If it makes a noise when you turn the brew switch on you may have a blockage in the out let line. If it doesn't make a noise but every so often you may have a bad pump.
