HL-2030 printer won`t print labels with Word 2007

Paper got stuck in my HL2030 printer I cleared it but red light keeps flashing and won t let me print.

Just set up new printer with the same name and set it as default printer. When it prints the test page, then it solves your problem. Delete the old printer icon.

Remove the paper tray. Lift the printer and you have to see paper feed roller it is rubber, just clean of dirt with cloth and alcohol or water.

It probably wants you to insert label sheet thru the envelope slot in the front, using the cassette peels the labels off of the sheet. If there is nothing in the front slot when you select labels it will show an error.

If you are using a label template this is normal. It will look for the label sheet from the front tray. Also make sure you have it set to "autoselect" for first page and the "same as first" for second.

Open the front door, and press the go button until the lights flash, after closing, press the go button 3 times for a printout showing the drum as full again. The instructions come with the new drum...

Try resetting the drum counter:

open the front cover, press the blue button and keep it pressed until all the LEDs are lit - hold for a few seconds and then close the front cover.

Open a MS Word Document, select 'Tools' then 'Letters and mailings' then 'Envelopes and labels...'

Envelopes and Lables dialogue box opens - ensure you are on the 'envelopes' tab

Then type your recipient address in the larger white box

for standard letter envelope (DL 220m x 110mm) - Insert envelope into Brother HL-2030 manual feed, with print side up, gummed flaps down and to the left side (bring gray plastic guides in close to secure).

Then select print.

I have found that during the feed, one end of the envelope gets a little bit crumpled but overall it's still a little bit more professional looking than my handwriting.

If you have Microsoft Word, you can open a template of the label you're using (which is free from Avery if it isn't already in Word) and make that document into a mail merge document.
