mcdevito75 here, Look for a small watcg repir shop in your area. It could be the mechanism is going bad. If you changed the battery for this problem and you have the same problem, then the quartz is ging bad, (the mechanism)
mcdevito75 here, Just had the battery changed, if the watch was running fine before the last battery died, and now with this battery change the watch can"t keep time, try another battery as any Battery can be weak just from storage.
The big tic has two batteries. The battery for the display may need to be changed and the circuit reset. You can then hold the display button down for 2.5 seconds to cycle through the display function.
The watch is scrolling through the seconds, and is not something that needs to be set. If there is a bottom it is only there to change the way the seconds are scrolling? There are many different types of these, but most are just standard seconds.
