Worker fine until doing a load yesterday. Started beeping when in SPIN - unplugged and reconnected after a while (twice) as recommended in troubleshooting guide of booklet. Will start SPIN with the usual DRAIN but the water drains back into the tub not out the house so it never gets to the actual SPIN mode.
I am not sure about this particular thought: It seems to me as if the tub moves around much too easily - I thought it was much more rigid in place before yesterday.
Is there a way to get a schematic for this type of washer since it is a belt-free design not your usual standard machine?

Hi. I work on these machines every day.
The problem with your model 10 is that the diverter valve is not in the DRAIN position, so when the pump runs, it is sending the water right back into the tub. The issue is one of two things-
Either the tab on the diverter valve has physically broken off and the machine needs a new diverter valve, or there is a short in the machine's controller and it is sending a constant signal to that valve, causing it to never be in the DRAIN position. When the diverter is NOT energized, the flap is at rest and the water will go out the drain. When the valve IS energized, the water is supposed to go thru the recirculation hose.
You want to check that diverter valve first and formost. That's going to tell you what you need to know. Look closely at it and you'll see if the little tab that goes from the wax motor to the flapper lever is broken off. The diverter valve is located down underneath the tub in the right rear, it has three hoses attached to it and two wires. It's grey in color and the little wax motor is brown.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa
When the washer fills but does not agitate or spin
then you can check if the lid switch is fine. You can jump start the lid switch
by connecting both the wires with each other or use the third wire to act as
jumper between the two. After this if the problem is solved then replacing lid
switch is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any other
questions.

I forgot to add this to my post - Model is Fisher & Paykal GWL10.
I have since deterrmined that the tub is connected properly, I found that when the washer dries to drain, it drain back into the tub through what I assume is the rinse hose. I was able to connect a container into the tub to drain most of the remaining water and now it seems to start spinning but won't complete because - again - the water drains back into the tub. Maybe the drain hose is plugged. I am not sure how to get to that, yet.
Washer fills, agitates but won't drain or spin
Thanks for your input. How to find filter and exit pump blocks?
