My tv ws-55819 tv won't turn on it cliks on but it won' syat on

I replace the ic convergence chips sets, it turn on and work just find fo about 10 minutes, and it just turn of, and it won' turn back on, it only clicks, and green light comes on for a second .

ws-55819 thank you for your respond, well i have done what you ask me to due, i pressdown the menue+device butten n it blinks 1-1 pause 1-1 pause 1,1 pause for about six to seven time..

i have the same problem my model is ws-55819 and i replaced the convergence chips also. it worked fine for maybe 10-20 minutes then shut off. now it wont turn on i hold the buutons as suggested and came up with 2 flashes then 2 more flashes so i guess its error 22 but im not sure what the problem is so any suugestions would be great.

Ok when the power is plugged in hold down the menu + device buttens for five sec what is the error code there should be two sets of numbers....
like 1 pause 2 let me know and i'll see what i can do!

Your Convergence ICs are likely failing or it is a bad solder joint related to that area. It is very common on rear projections. The solution is to replace the STK chips, check fuses and the resistors next to the STK chips. Replace as necessary and re-align via the service menu. It is about a $300 repair at a tv service center. You will need the service manual if you decide to do this yourself.

Try This:
When you notice the symptons Use this simple test to verify.
Go to the users menu on the tv.
Look for the converge option probably under setup or video setting. Converge is short for convergence to align the red and blue colors to the green color.

If you cannot move the red either horizontal or vertical, then the STK chip has failed for red section.
If you cannot move the blue either horizontal or vertical, then the STK chip has failed for the blue section.

If you can move both in each direction then the problem is something else.

Note if one STK chip fails, you replace both regardless. There may only be one STK chip in this set. If there are two, they will be right next to each other.

Between the fuses, resistors, and the IC packs I think you've done well. Your going to have to recheck your soldering on those lands at the IC's pins, or replace the defective (new) packs.

Can not align red even though convergence board WS-55819

Did you replace the center board with the STK-392-570 chips or the Digital convergence board mounted on it?

98% of the time if you have a convergence problem it is on the center board---the small board on the left under the metal shield box stores and controls the convergence of this set.

WHICH DID YOU REPLACE?

My Mitsubishi WS-55819 TV has double vision. I am unable to clear it up under the convergence section. It was going in and out of a clear picture but now it doesn't go back to clear.

Mitsubishi WS-55819 has double vision screen with faded red and green colors. Any idea of a solution?

Sounds like bad convergence IC's; this set uses two STK-392-570 IC CHIPS; both should be replaced and the blue 3.9 ohm resistors in front of them should be checked. Get someone who has done this repair on this kind of set before--it is usually not something for a do it yourself person; the middle pc board needs to be removed to safely replace the chips; then the set needs to be adjusted in the regular and HD modes. If F9A04 and F9A05 are open the convergence ICs will need to be replaced as well as the two pico fuses. You will need two STK392-570 Convergence ICs and two 5 amp pico fuses. You ca get the replacement parts at the following link with free installation instructions. heres thelink.

Can the WS-55819 be reset through a reset button?

Code 22 is short protect. Recheck your work. Did you check and replace open fuses and/or Convergence IC's. The Conv. IC's normally open at least one fuse when they go out.

WS-55819 Mitsubishi Rear projection TV Picture goes blurry

Convergence ICs are bad need to be replaced. You will need to replace both of them also check the resistors right next to the IC often 1 or 2 of them burn out when the IC goes.
