How acess administrative settings on the mini hp

You have windows 7 starter or vista starter i am guessing , which means there is no option for changing the background, it has been disabled.

download it and To use it, find a jpg wallpaper you like, then run Starter Wallpaper Changer as administrator (right click onb the file and click run as administrator). Select your jpg file, and change. Then log off, and log back in. Simple!

Click on Start, select Control Panel, go to Internet Options, click on the Advanced tab and at the bottom of the Advanced tab screen click Reset.... Check the box to delete personal Settings and then click Reset. Hope that helps.

See if your windows account has Administrator Right. If not try to login to the administrator account. Even if it doesn't work, try creating a new account with full rights ( from Account Users in Control Panel) and try it.

if its windows 7, Right click and choose personalize, you'll find it there. if that doesn't work dell can remote into your system once you call them and unlock the administrator privileges.

On standard qwerty keyboards in the US the @ symbol is almost always located on top of the 2 key. Using shift usually helps. If your @ symbol is located somewhere else, try using the FN key on the lower left corner of the keyboard. If you don't have a FN key, can you please provide the model of your HP Mini?

command prompt: click on start>run then type in "cmd"

admin accout: click on start>control panel>administrator accout

Don't forget to rate this solution before you log off

Oooopps! No problem, enter safe mode at start up by pressing F8, log on as administrator, from here you can clear any user passwords in the user accounts.
