Compaq dc 7600 small form factor, front usb and audio not recognized

I'm using a mainboard of a compaq dc 7600 sff without it's original case. problem is it does not recognize any device plugged into the front audio and front usb connectors. i tried a few (audio panels, usb panels and memory card readers) and none seems to work. does hp compaq have somehow special usb and audio panels? or what else could it be?

Hello,
I am assuming you have moved the board to another case and have connected front-mounted card readers etc. but none are working. I would check in device manager and see if there are any devices with exclamation points beside them.....which would indicate that windows sees the device, but that you are missing some of the drivers for the board which can be downloaded from HP. If you have devices in device manager that are labelled "unknown device", then a program like SIW or unknown devices may help you determine which drivers to get. A safe bet would be to go to HP's download section and get everything available for that board.

Also, check the bios and ensure that "plug and play OS" is set to on or yes

I would also look in the bios/setup and ensure that the connectors on the board are actually turned on. USB headers on motherboards are pretty generic, meaning that you should be able to plug in pretty much any front panel device (audio, card readers, usb).

Please check these things and get back to me. If you need instructions on how to do any of this stuff, then get back to me and I will be happy to help further.

Hope this helps!!

-Joe

SOURCE: HP Compaq dc5100 Small Form Factor Is two hhd

I think is not possible, because no space for additional harddisk, casing is too small, but if you release the cdrom, you can plug additional harddisk to cdrom place, but no screw mount to casing

SOURCE: my PC (hp dc 7600 sff) giving yellow display durin...

Display Problems tend to be due to a few things. Mainly Hardware, and also software.
I would check the cables from the monitor to the computer. Make sure there are no bent pins. Maybe try a different cable.
Check the settings on the monitor. Maybe reset to default settings.
Check the drivers for the graphic card, that they are the latest ones.
Is the screen always yellow or only when playing games?
Is your DirectX software ok? Maybe re-download and re-install from the Microsoft website.
Does it happen on all games or just certain ones?

Error 1801 micro code

The code is only translated by HP and is of no use to an assistant; however, I suggest you go to HP.com, allow the Automatic search of your HP devices, and when it finds the computer; go to the Drivers section. Download the drivers and perhaps a reset will occur and eliminate the code in question.

Hp compaq dc 7600 small form factor CMDS and check sum invalid

boot into safe mode and run CMD.exe and type in CHKDSK and run that program to fix any errors. If there still is a problem. Grab the CD in your computer came with and install it. What I mean by that, is insert a disk into CD-ROM drive. Before turning off computer. Turning on computer and booting from CD to fix any errors. If that doesn't work reinstall Windows. Please rate me for assisting you today have a great day. :-)

Display Problem

Hello,

This issue is linked with demaanded memory by the games and the graphics memory.
Recommendation will be to add a 512 display card then only you will be able to play these games.

Thanks
