Hi, The owners manual says that if the red light is flashing, it is an indicator that it is ready to be turned on (use remote or onboard on button); flashing red & green - too high temperature inside, the unit is overheated. Check and clean the air filters; If the red light is steady, abnormal condition and you have to call for service. A copy of your manual is available at http://www.eiki.com/resources/resourcedownload.ashx?filename=/ownersmanuals/om_xb25_20_sb20.pdf Hope this be of some help. Pls post again how things turn up. good luck and kind regards.

Try to lower the output resolution of your laptop for external display to

800 x 600, which is the native resolution for your SB20

Black and white projection

Hi there

First try another cable from the PC to the Projector.

The VGA / RGB Cable used from your PC to the Projector has a couple of very thin copper wires on the inside and they easily get damaged.

If this doesn't help then you should try another PC.

If that works then you'll know that it is the PC's card that is faulty.

If it doesn't work you'll have to get the Mainboard repaired or replaced , because the inputs on the Projector lies within the Mainboard.

Must warn you that a Mainboard replacement is a bit on the expensive side.

Its not the lc-sb20 but the lc-nb3e

Hi there

This sounds like a common Ballast ( lamp's power supply ) problem.

Only way to rectify this is by replacing the faulty Ballast.

Cooled down

Hello again gabzky, My apologies for getting back to you a bit late. I understand that you followed the manual but was not able to resolve your problem. There is something else you can try, hard reset the unit. At the back of your LC-SB20 Projector between DVI-I and Service port, above and to the left of the computer/component in is a small reset button. You may need to use a ballpen to depress the button. You have to press this with the power on. Cheers and keeping my fingers crossed for you.
