Jacuzzi Z145/Model 345, H240000 outside hot tub. My hot tub is cold. Circuit breaker keeps popping OFF with all plugs plugged in to lights, dial/button controller, motor/pump assembly, heating element. To assess the fault I unplugged each plug until I figured out that the plug that has two wires to it, one that runs to the heater element and the other wire runs to the rear of the hot tub. I would say back towards the skimmer. I believe that this is where my fault is. Only this plug when plugged in causes the GFI circuit break to pop OFF. I have replaced the heating element twice since I have owned the hot tub, both times I do not remember the electrical system showing these symptoms. The only symptom then was cold water. Ureka!! What could be the difference??? Is there a heater element temp control switch that is directly on top of the heater element that could have went bad??? So then what is this wire running to the back by filter housing??? HELP.
Sounds like the heating element has gone out again. Once you reset the circuit breaker and the tub turns on it will start to circulate the water. This usually runs like this for about 2 mins and then the tub will recognize it is cold and send power to the heater. If the element is back at that point it will blow the circuit breaker.
If this circuit breaker pops as soon as you turn it on then you most likely have a bad circuit board.

Thank you Rod. I did have an electrician come out and he confirmed that the heating element was only pulling 11.5 amps when it should have been pulling between 22 and 23 amps. I ordered a new heating element "only" from SpaDepot.com and I saved over a hundred and fifty dollars doing it this way. I even bought a spare which was even cheaper. Anyone that owns a hottub knows these heaters go out every 2 -3 years. I am ready for the next time. High five to the electrician from M & M Electric hear in my hometown for his quick response so my tub did not freeze and cause more damage. Thanks again for your help Rod!

SOURCE: MY JACUZZI HOT TUB STOPPED HEATING
sounds like it could be either the heating element, the thermostat or pressure switch problem. Does the light come on when it is trying to heat? if it doesn't come on then most likely the heating element needs to be changed.
SOURCE: Jaccuzi hot tub will not heat?
sounds like it maybe the heater again. Have you pulled it out and checked the ohms? it should be at least 10.5 ohms
it could be the thermostat or the pressure switch - if either of those are not working it will not heat either.

Actually you can ground them to the copper pipe...any piece of metal material that comes in contact with the earth...hence the word ground....so water supply line or if you ran conduit..and a receptacle box (metal...) you could ground it to that....'
I hope this helps...good luck...thanks for rating my effort...the Fang.

It sounds like your inline heater has stopped working. The only way to test it is to drain the water back out, remove the inline heater, and hook power to it to see if it heats up.
If it doesn't you can get one at a discount supply house (like Home Depot or Lowes) for less than $150.

There are two things you can check, there is a tranformer that plugs into the main circuit board(usually a four wire plug). Unplug and check pins for good connection and then reconnect There are usually one or two fuses inside the control box mounted on or near the circuit board. Turn off power to spa and pull fuses and check continunity. This is a good start.

P.S. We just had some 4 degree days last week. During one of those days we were in it. To me it didn't feel as warm as usual, but I thought it was due to the almost 0 degree weather. I also didn't think the jets were putting out as normal either, felt weaker to me.
