SOURCE: Doesnt stat up and no light showing charge
Hi,
Here's one way to determine the problem.
Take the battery out and try to boot on AC power only, if it boots turn it back off, reinsert the battery again and try to boot.
Sometimes you just have to take the battery out and plug it back in again, with others it is the battery and you have to leave then out until a replacement is bought.
If it still won't boot on AC only, remove and reinsert the memory, try to boot the computer and listen for any beeps.
Post back if you need further assistance.
Good luck.

Please take out the battery then plug in your power strip, press and hold the power until it comes on.
Let me know if this works. What could be happening is the system went to sleep and was not responding to user input, so this would be a way of a hard reset for it. Let me know if it works or not, as the next step is a little invasive.

SOURCE: no signs of power on my gateway mt3705
The power supply provides only 48V (or what ever is listed on the back) but the computer breaks out +12 -12 +5 -5 etc and if that power regulator is damaged it will not come on.
Remove the battery and unplug, hold the power button on for 2-3 minutes, plug in ONLY the power cord and press the power button.
Most likely if you don't get any text on the screen the internal power regulator/converter is damaged.

SOURCE: Why does my gateway nv53 battery light blink while
Hi,
The LED light on your Gateway NV53 Blinks while charging because it was designed to do so.
According to the user manual, if the battery light is:
Solid Orange: Battery is fully charged
Blinking Orange: Battery is charging
Blinking Red: Battery is critically low
Solid Red: Battery problems, contact Gateway support immediately.
Hope this helps. If it does, please accept and rate the solution! Contact me with any more questions you may have. Thanks for using FixYa!
