The gas inlet line to this dryer appears to be a male 1/2" "NPT" or "National Pipe Taper" fitting. You will need a 1/2" female NPT x by 1/2" flare fitting to connect a 1/2" flexible stainless steel gas line to the dryer. a 1/2" gas service line is sufficient to provide enough gas to the appliance.
You will need to determine what size the gas line and valve is at the gas valve service connection as well (the line and valve coming out of the wall or floor). They are usually 1/2" npt but can be 3/4" as well and may require a different size pipe and flare fitting.
Some jurisdictions may also re an "excess flow valve" to be installed. The service valve should be within 6 feet of the appliance.
You may have a clogged air vent, check that the air vent hose is not smashed, if it is not smashed, have your dryer vent cleaned professionally, all the way from where the dryer connects to the wall to where the vent leaves the home,
Recheck the dryer operation, dryer vents should be cleaned every other year for optimum performance
Unplug the dryer. Remove the rear panel of the dryer. Look on the left side of the main exhaust vent. The fuse is about 1 and 1/2 inches long by 1/2 inch wide and white in color. 2 wires attached.
I does sound like your starter is going bad. You should replace it. It may not be turning fast enough to engage your flywheel. It also may be your flywheel going out. Try the starter first.
You have 2 problems. 1. a blown thermal fuse on the exhaust duct. It is white in color. About 1 and 1/2 inches long by 1/2 inch wide.It is on the back of the dryer. Unplug the dryer and remove the back panel. 2. Your exhaust system is blocked or clogged with lint. You must find and clear the blockage or you will blow the new fuse.
4 PRONG PLUG WIRING: 2 HOTS(RED&BLACK) 1 NEUTRAL(WHITE) 1 GROUND(GREEN). 3 PRONG PLUG WIRING: 2 HOTS&1 NEUTRAL. YOU MUST USE 2 HOTS & 1 NEUTRAL ON A 3 WIRE PLUG. THE GROUND WIRE(GREEN) WHICH IS HOOKED TO FRAME OF THE DRYER IS NOT USED ON OLDER 3 WIRE PLUGS. IT IS AN ADDITIONAL SAFTEY GROUND ON NEWER MODEL 4 WIRE PLUGS.
Unplug the dryer. Remove the rear panel. The thermal fuse is in the blower housing on the left side of the exhaust vent. It is 1 and 1/2 inches long by 1/2 inch wide and white in color. Held in by 1 screw.
Check the thermal fuse on the rear of the dryer. Remove the rear panel. The thermal fuse is 1 and 1/2 inches long by 1/2 inch wide. White in color and located just left of the dryer exhaust vent. 2 purple wires. Jump the wires together and start the dryer. If it runs, replace the thermal fuse.
