Wiring heated hand grips

I installed heat demon heated handlebar heaters. I am looking to wire the heater into an auxillary port. I found a yellow wire behind my headlight that is not conncect to anything and capped off with heatshrink. 1. What is the intended purpose of the yellow wire? (research tells me its an additional wire for low beam auxillary lighting) 2. Can I use that wire to supply power to my heated hand grips? 3. Should I use the wire to power my heated hand grips or is there a better solution? (I was unable to find an orange and white wire)
