More then likely they are just loose.

Blend doors control flow between hot and cold airflow . In a dual system both sides have their own separate blend doors . Possible bad switch, connection or wiring that need checking out .

Replace the fridge side sensor for temp

This is known as the CZT or Climate Zone Technology fan and if you direct wire it and it does not run, replace.
This is the cold zone fan which supplies cold air to the meat and crisper drawers.

The newest defrost feature in modern fridges is the electronic adaptive defrost control board. has one version..to put this adaptive defrost style of fridge into defrost, short with a small screwdriver between L1 and test on the adaptive defrost board, wait 3 seconds and you should hear a "click" noise from the relay and the fridge will shut off and go through a defrost cycle. .

Julie, I don't have a solution to this problem, but as of yesterday, I am having the exact same problem. The top shelf is as warm as the air outside of the fridge and the shelves below are cool. All of the food on the top shelf spoiled. We purchased the fridge in July 2007 so mine is also about the same age as yours. We called Sears and were told no one could come out to service it for a full week AND it is no longer under warranty (warranty expired in July 2008) which is totally lame considering the fact that it's a nearly $3k fridge. I'm very disappointed in Sears and doubt I'll be buying anything from them again.

We ended up unplugging it, waiting 30 seconds and plugging it back in and overnight, the top shelf is cool again but I'm not comfortable with not looking at it further to ensure it doesn't happen again. If you got your problem solved, can you please share what the issue/solution was? Thanks!

If the fan beind the rear cover inside the freezer isn't running it can cause circulation problems one of which is freezing in the drawers. The fan may not run when the door is open so hold the door switch down. It should be running when the compressor is running.

water under the crisper doors is pretty common, all you have to do is raise the front legs of the refrigerator, Refrigerators have a heater in them that keep everything from freezing, if it wasnt for the heater then it would just be a freezer, now alot of these samsungs have 2 evaps, so if you get a warm fridge, its prob. because a sensor is out or the heater is out and there is ice buildup inside the unit preventing either the fan from turning, or just blocking air flow, but for the water, just raise the front legs and there is a drain in the back that it will go into from now on

MWKT, did the service tech replace the adaptive defrost board? By your post it sounds like a defrost problem. Check out the pic, this is the adaptive defrost board. I find that the heater and bi-metal usually don't fail on these models and the board is the culprit. Catriver..post back
