I tried your solution and it didn't work. I am not looking to delete items from the call log. I am looking to delete the recent log from "texting" messages.
The problem is that the everytime I text a new person, the phone keeps track of each recipient in a recent log. Is there a way to delete the list that shows up in the recent log?
The path I am having issues with is the following:
Email; Create New Message; Send to; Options; Add Recipients; Recent Log. * I want to clear and delete all the recipients that show up in the recent log so it cannot be tracked.
To erase the recent recipients list, you must do a master reset of the phone. This will erase all texts, alarms, and any other personal settings you set on the phone, but it will erase your recent recipients. This is the ONLY reliable method I found

First off save all your pics etc to your pc or a memory card and add all your contacts to your sim card otherwise you will find they disappear. Then type in the below, this will factory reboot all the settings in your phone and will remove the recent recipients. You will however have to set up your phone how you like it again.

if you are desperate enough you could try saving all stuff to memory card and removing before restoring factory settings. this should wipe the list? only thing i can think of?

I have the same problem with my Samsung. It's a different model. I've got the Katalyst. But either way it goes I can't delete the log either which is rather annoying.
