You'll need to download a brand new rom for it. Your phone will run Windows Mobile 6.5 perfectly, so it's definitely time to upgrade. You'll need a computer running at least Windows XP, your USB data cable, as well as Windows Mobile Device Center installed to upgrade your rom. Once the software is installed, connect your phone to your USB, and start the .exe file for the rom. Make sure you have a full battery before upgrading your rom, and DO NOT TURN OFF YOUR PHONE even if it looks like it has locked or frozen - it hasn't. The file can be found here. http://www.htc.com/www/supportdownload.aspx?p_id=179&cat=2&dl_id=533
Input your serial number, and select the rom upgrade in the drop down box, make sure your phone is connected and charged, and that WMDC is running, and click the file to start the upgrade. Again, DO NOT TURN OFF YOUR PHONE even if it looks like it has locked or frozen. Leave your phone upgrading for a while, go have a cup of tea.
When you get back, you'll have an upgraded operating system, and a phone with English as the language.

if you're running windows mobile 6, then you need to update to the newer windows mobile 6.1. this upgrades your gps radio on your system and allows you to use gps. you can find the free upgrade at htc.com. beware, however, that flashing this new rom wipes out your phone. so back everything up with activesync before you upgrade. then go to waze.com and install (for free) their great gps program, then start driving!
Well for your information microsoft wm 7 so far is not coming to Htc hd2. But if you want to enable the 567MB Ram then you have to flash your phone with the After market cooked roms. You can go on xda-developers.com and click on the forums choose Htc hd2 and then rom developments. If you need any futher help let me know thanks.
1.have you gone through the instructions from ROM cookers.

Try hard reset with phone in "OFF" state following this instructions if it will do;
1. Press and hold the TALK and END buttons, and at the same time, use the stylus to press the RESET button under the battery cover at the top of the device. 2. Release the stylus, but continue pressing the TALK and END buttons until you see this message on the screen: Warning! Your device will be set back to factory default settings. Please ensure any additional installed programs and/or user data have been backed up before a hard reset is performed. 3. Release the TALK and END buttons, and then press ENTER on your device.
