Problem with Hampton Bay 54 In. Flemish Pewter Ceiling Fan With Heater

This celing fan has a light fixture included. The ceiling fan has 2 wires coming out of it (Black and White). My celing box has 3 wires (Black, White and Red). I attached Black with Black, White with White and capped the red. Using the remote I turned on the fan and it worked. I then turned on the light and it worked. Both light and fan where on and then the fan stopped. Now the fan will not work. Any suggestions?

Did you check the circuit breaker to see if its tripped?im assuming the voltage rating of the wires your decribing are 110 volts and the fan likewise.the white wire could possibly be a neutral wire, meaning you should hook up the red and black wire.let me know

Do you want to sell your Covington Ceiling fans? I may be interested in purchasing them. If you live in Atlanta, I could remove the old ceiling fans and install your new ones if you need.

Hampton Bay Covington 54" Ceiling Fan Light Does Not Come On

Try taking the lighting kit completely off it make sure the blue wire and white wire are both firmly connected.

Does the remote work on the fan part ok? Do you have the black, white, and green wire on the house side connected to the side of the receiver with the same wires?

You know the black and blue are hot for the fan and lights (blue for lights). If the wiring connections are ok it had to be either in the remote or receiver. Are the dip switches set for the same on each?

Hampton Bay ceiling fan with pull chains not working

Whether there is a reset switch on this unit or not would depend on the model. If you no longer have the owners manual you should be able to get it from the hampton web site. Many fans have a thermal fuse inline that probably was blown when the bulb broke. The cheaper models do not and then I would guess you burned out the switch.
