Model #lct32sha was working and was turned off to never turn on again with or without remote, possible cause?
We just repaired ours - same problems (did not replacc the 1000uF and 470uF Capacitors in secondary yet as ours were still OK, but the FET was killed by an arcing capacitor across a diode,
See the page we created for this with pictures.
Be careful - High voltage!

Hey, I believe it is your power supply, typical problem on these sets, I have a website that I can refer you to, to purchase a new one at wholesale, but will have to get it for you.
Shopjimmy.com for replacement power supply MLT169A for many Akai/Ilo/Scott flat panel displays. About $100.

I HAVE TAKEN THE SET APART TO INSPECT POWER SUPPLY CAPASITORS NEXT TO HEATSINKS ARE BULGED AND LEAKING ON TOP I ASSUME THATS WHY I DONT KNOW IF I BUY THEM LOCAL AND INSTALL IF THAT WILL DO IT. I WOULD APPRECIATE THE SITE NAME FOR PARTS THANKS
I have a HDT ILO that uses the same power supply and does the same thing. Where can i get a power supply or parts for MLT169A.
Thanks
I have the same LCD and just started doing the same thing about 1 month ago. I went to Radio Shack where I bought it from and they don't even sell them anymore and don't have any contact information for the manufacturer. I continually have to unplug the set and plug it back in.. It seems to "reset" itself and will turn back on when I hit the power. But it will keep shutting off. There seems to be no set time either. It could stay on for 10 secs or for hours. From what I can gather from reviews, this seems to be an issue with this and the 37" models. I just bought another brand lcd and will be tearing this one apart to see what is up.
I turned off my tv scott 37'', for few days i had to plug out and plug in again, now it does't work at all
I am interested in the website that dgjtex mentions about. I would like to try to change the power supply in my scott lcd. Any information will be appreciated.
