Try unpluging your dry for about 5 minutes. Sometimes it just needs to reset itself.

Frigidaire Gallery model GLEQ2170KSO dryer turns off within a minute.

Hello allisonarena - Try reprogramming the dryer by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and then turn on the unit. If issue persists, then the dryer may possibly be experiencing more serious issues such as; wiring failure, faulty control board, thermal limiter, or defective door switch. I would recommend connecting with an experienced appliance repair tech to assist further and to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts.

Lights

Hi Brian - I understand that your dryer lights are turning on when not being in use. Try resetting the unit by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately two minutes and turn on the dryer. Select a normal cycle and verify if the lights continue to flash. If the issue persists, then it could possibly be a communication error with the main control board, or a potential wiring failure or faulty door lock assembly. I would recommend contacting a qualified service technician to further assist you in diagnosing this issue.

My affinity frigidaire gas dryer wont stop running

Hello Kenneth Joynt - Often when a dryer will not stop running, it is because the unit may have a potential wiring failure, faulty timer, or a communication error with the main control board. Try resetting the unit by either unplugging it or flipping the household breaker to the off position. Wait approximately two minutes, turn on the dryer and select a normal cycle. Hello guysmith2146 - Try reprogramming the dryer by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes, restart unit and select a normal cycle. Have you recently cleaned the lint screen/filter? Otherwise the dryer may possibly be experiencing more serious issues such as; wiring failure, faulty control board, thermal limiter, or defective door switch. I strongly recommend contacting a local professional to proceed further, should all troubleshooting measures fail. You can often locate qualified servicers by visiting the manufacturer directly.

Hello Anne Truhlar - Try resetting the unit by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately 30 seconds and turn on the fuse for the dryer. Turn on the dryer and select a normal cycle. If the dryer continues to overheat then I suggest contacting a professional to accurately diagnose and repair the dryer. E-2 error code on whirlpool duet dryer

“E2” flashes if the thermistor has shorted.

The thermistor monitors the exhaust temperature
and cycles the high-limit thermostat on
and off to maintain the desired temperature.
1. Turn the dryer off but keep the electrical
supply connected.
2. Make sure that the dryer is empty and that
the lint screen is clean.
3. Close the dryer door.
4. Select Heavy Duty, Timed Dry, More Time
or Less Time, End of Cycle Signal (Louder)
and Start.
5. If error codes E1 or E2 flash on the display
after 1 minute and the dryer turns off,
the thermistor, or the wire harness, is either
shorted or open. Check the wire connections
at the thermistor or the machine
control electronics board. If wiring checks
okay, replace the thermistor.
6. If the dryer seems to operate normally, remove
the exhaust vent and start the dryer.
7. Select the desired temperature cycle to be
tested, and select 20 minutes of Timed Dry
heat using the More Time or Less Time
pushbuttons.
