Xbox360 hd hookup problem---1080i

Ok so i had a friend over, and he was playing around with my xbox 360, trying to hook up hd. He did the xbox dashboard settings to change it to 1080i and hooked up the back to the hd cable slots, it worked. Later i hooked it up to my other tv (not 1080i) and nothing showed up...i could hear the sound but no video. I went to hook it up to the hd tv it was originally hooked up to and i got the same prob. My question is how to hook my xbox 360 to hd again so i can play

Your component cable is probably switched to the HD setting. You have to switch it back in order to get video when hooked up to a regular TV.

What plugs do I plug an xbox360 into on a magnavox dvd player

Jesus, not even the red white and yellow hookups? Oh, man, sorry, but I would need the model of the DVD player...and how did you hook up the DVD player if it doesn't have the red white and yellow hookups? just curious. Also I would highly recommend getting a new TV outright. If your tv is that old, it doesn't have HD, and that essentially defeats the whole purpose of having a powerhouse like the xbox 360. If you want the dvd player hooked up, give me the model number, but if you want a new tv, give me a budget and I am positive I can direct you to something reasonable.
P.S. (being tech savvy isn't a requirement for the newer tvs. in my honest opinion, You have to be a WIZARD in order to get all the inputs to convert to the correct format so it can be displayed on the older tv, so hanging onto the old tv is actually more trouble than a new one. Just saying.)

Hooking xbox360 up for HD in component 1

Thats the highest setting, for component, that TV will show. it really is that simple. You would need HDMI connector to possibly go any higher. but I think you will find it is the TV.

While playing xbox 360 in 1080p mod, the screen frequently blanks

Most TV's have problems doing 1080p over component. Dial the Xbox back to 1080i. Make sure the big switch on the Xbox AV cable is set to 'HDTV' not 'TV'(common problem) If the problem persists, try plugging into different hookups, use HDMI (if your console supports it) or buy one of the HDMI adaptors from PDP or MadCatz if your console doesnt. HDMI will reduce the clutter and will make 1080p a reality.

My xbox360 Wont work on my WS-55513 MITSUBISHI COMPONENT

Try changing the settings on the Xbox under display to 1080i. If it is 1080 p, or 720p, the image will look funny so make sure it is at 1080i.

360 video problem on HDTV

I need a little bit more info on the TV its an RCA what?,

In the mean time what you could try is finding someone with a HD tv and trying it out at there house so that you can single out if it is your system or the TV. This will help alot you can also try someone else's xbox 360 at your house on your tv to see if it is your AV cable / xbox360.

Xbox360 HDMI

there, as yet is only hdmi cable which comes with latest xbox 360, there are non that you can buy, but if your tv has hdmi, it may have component connection also which consists of 5 different coloured connections, this also allows 1080i the same as hdmi, the type of cable can be seen at the link below:- http://www.xbox.com/en-US/hardware/catalog.aspx?st=xbox+360+cable&g=0&s=0&p=1&c=10
