Konica Minolta Magicolor 2300W not transferring toner to paper.

Hi, After being stored for several years, I went to use my old laser printer and initially printed a test page from Windows where I could only faintly see the colors in the windows sign and see no black at all. After trying to print, It gives me a paper jam at the back panel of the printer as the paper does not fully come out of the printer, the last centimeter or so is still in the rollers. I can see the image of what I am trying to print on the silvery roller in the back and the rubber roller that presses against this. So I believe that the toner is not transferring to the paper correctly so the fuser is not able to do its job of melting this to the page. Any ideas? Or is it time for this old horse to be put out to pasture? Thanks!

SOURCE: paper jam

open doors and find these solenoids, clean them and make sure they are moving fine, its not so hard. just step by step move with paper and find out where the solenoids are. solenoids aren't expensive so if its a solenoid problem you should fix it

Hey Chuck, Any chance you can post a scan of one of the faulty pages ? This will make it easier to assess the fault. Print off about 10 pages of a page that is affected by the lines. Look at each page and see if you can detect a recurring pattern over any of the pages. If there is a pattern, chances are it is probably the PCU that is marked.

Toner will transfer to the transfer be

As I understand it from servicing laser printers, the toner is actually drawn statically to the paper from the drum by a charge on the belt. Toner is not supposed to be distributed to the belt. The fuser fuses the toner to the paper after the transfer. Can you access the fuser rollers to see if there is any sign of wear or damage they may be keeping the paper from entering it properly? The toner on the belt is probably excess from the paper not being pulled through and having the toner fused properly.

Konica Minolta Magicolor 2300 DL - Fatal Error Code 0EH ????

I had the same problem one time, they told me to pull out all of the toner cartriges, power off, power on, power off, replace all cartridges and the problem went away.

Who knows why. If this doesn't work....

Call Konica Minolta tech support.

They were pretty helpful to me.
