You want to make sure your callforwarding is on. Sometimes when you select sleep mode, the calls will divert directly to Voicemail. Plus, ensure you have signal. Without signal, by default the calls go directily to voicemail. We won't wanna miss a call here. You can follow these steps here. start
settings
phone
services
call forwarding
get settings (wait for a while)
forward all incoming phone calls (check the box)
OK
OK
Exit

In the option to forward calls, there should be an option for the amount of seconds the phone RINGS prior to forwarding directly to voicemail.
IF your HTC device doesn't have the option for voicemail, and your calls are routed else where, contact your carrier for the voicemail number. This is very important!

Cheers!

Lcd says sleep 10: 35 fax. What does that mean?

The machine goes into the sleep mode after the amount of time you set to conserve energy. It is sleeping and will wake if a fax comes in, fax tells you it is in the fax mode and not the manual mode or fax/tel mode. 10:35 is the time of day.

Jawbone original seems to go into sleep mode. If I have not received a call for a short time, the Jawbone seems to go into sleep mode and I am unable to answer an incoming call with it. I have to answer...

I have a Jawbone and have not experienced those problems. You may have a connection issue with your phone. Maybe the way your blue tooth is set on the phone....power settings?

"Receiving Sleep" on Brother Fax 4100

The sleep mode is only a power save mode. You may not have the machine in the correct fax receive mode. If the machine is on a line by itself it needs to be set to fax only, if line is shared with a telephone it needs to be in fax/telephone, if you share the machine with an answering machine it needs to be in TAD mode, and so forth. Each time you press the MODE key it will change the receive mode. Most people hit this key by mistake and change the MODE and the unit will not pick up calls. Press the MODE key until you are in the correct mode. To make sure the machine will print, press reports and then the 1, this will print a help list. If the help list prints you know that the machine works. Then check to make sure the machine is in the correct fax receive mode.
